It was easy to get an appointment to file my taxes (1st time in years because my ex always did our taxes). I saw that you could even get a virtual appointment. My only complaint was that I didn't realize they would charge $159; I should have asked up front.

I felt the prejudice from outside the door. The lock on the door looked as if it was locked and the location may have been closed so without pulling on the door I signaled to the associate sitting at the desk asking if they were opened. The associate only stared at me so I pulled the door and walked in. I greeted the associate and asked questions about the service I was looking for. The associate kept looking at me like he didn't even want to speak. after a long pause he said you need an appointment. I walked away. I have filed my taxes with H&R block for six years and have never seen this type of behavior no matter which office I walked in to. That man had me so irritated today. Associates like that is bad for business H&R Block....

Walked in at 10 and no one was available it’s tax season how you don’t have a tax rep during tax season?!?!? So unprofessional and then on the did door it said they take walk ins

Yvonne Mapp earned this rating on behalf of H&R Block. I had never met her before filing 2020 taxes, and she immediately expressed condolences for the passing of my father (which is why I was seeking extra help on the taxes). Compassion first. Business second.She took care of all the questions and materials I brought and easily helped me file the taxes. She took stress off my shoulders.My advice to H&R Block is to keep Yvonne happy because she is your ideal employee who will win over new clients.

Although I was in and out very quickly. The person who did my taxes was clueless. He was unaware of several things and had to ask for clarification after I had to explain things to him. I should learn to do the taxes myself.
