If you're looking for a great moving company, CALL GEORGIA HOME MOVERS. Atlanta reliable movers are not a real moving company. They sub the work out to small groups of people with trucks. will quote your job and when they show up, whatever they can't fit in the truck.. they just don't take. No discount for making me have to take the items even though they said they would take all my things. Even worse over the phone they said they would break down and rebuild all my items that needed it(even though I said I'd do it for some money off... she said it was included in the price so even if I did it, it would still cost the same.. ok I let them do it) now when we're inside the room, they tell me they never rebuild things due to liability purposes. Whatever, I've never heard that but ok. I went to build my babies crib... and I find out WHY they couldn't "rebuild it" they pulled 80% of the screws out with force, instead of using the right tool. Imagine trying to put it back together? Impossible. They ruined a $1000 crib. I call them to have them come and fix it, as it was in the same place they left it, lady (I think it's Laurie?) I spoke with said she'd call me back. Never did, I texted her.. no response. Such a shameful way of business. Other reviews must be fake or close friends of theirs. Please do NOT make the mistake I did.

I was really disappointed with my interactions with this company. I’m looking to make a move here soon and I called and spoke with a lady named Laurie. She gave me an initial quote over the phone after I explained my moving needs and told me she’d follow-up with an email later that day. I didn’t get the email until the next morning - but no big deal on that issue. After I received the email, I followed up with her with a list of questions. They were mainly questions of clarification based on what I saw on the quote and other questions I had after calling other companies to see what services they offered. When I got Laurie’s response, she mentioned that I had a lot of questions for such a small move. She then mentioned that Atlanta Reliable Movers is not the company for me and that I should look to hire some day laborers. I was a bit surprised by this response as I felt the company was very professional up to this point. My questions were just questions about if I didn’t fill up the minimum time, would the movers help with other things. If the response was no, that is completely fine…it was just a question. I also had every intention of using this company for my move and was surprised at such a refusal to service me based on a list of questions of clarification. The suggestion to use ‘day laborers’ also comes off as a bit elitist and snarky in my opinion. I’d suggest searching for another company as this one seems to be unreliable and will make a rash decision on your move based on questions. The timing it takes to secure movers and such, if I would’ve known they were like this I wouldn’t have wasted my time. I’m writing this review to potentially help someone else.Update 4/12/2021: In looking at the owner's reply, I think it warrants a response. I pride myself on being an honest and reasonable person but I didn't speak to anyone named Scott. The questions below were the questions that I asked for anyone viewing this review at this point. Read them and see if they were unreasonable questions or not.I realize that the time indicated for the move on the quote is 9 am. Is it possible to move this time back? Are there time windows that your company is limited to or is there flexibility for me to decide the time that works best for me? It definitely would be during the day, I'm just curious about this.I see the information you placed in the note section matches what we spoke about over the phone but I also see the information highlighted in yellow under the packing and unpacking services section. I want to get clarification on the quote and specify that the trip fee for my request would be $75 and not the $150 highlighted in yellow that mentions would be added to every move or hourly rate job. Can you confirm that for me?I realize that the grand total estimate for my job is $388.13, if I decide to pay with a credit card. I see highlighted in yellow however that the minimum moving fee is $400. I just want to get clarity that the price would actually be $388.13 and I wouldn't be surprised by anything later on. Can you confirm that for me?If I decided to pay with cash, not sure that I will but just curious would a receipt be available to me immediately upon giving the cash or how would that work? Also, if I decided to pay with cash, would the new deposit be $187.5 and the grand total be $375?If I didn't need the full 3 hours to move my items that is a minimum to secure your moving services, would the movers be available to assist with other things to make up the time? Simple things such as disposal of items, light cleaning, etc... Once again, I'm not sure I will need any assistance around these things, I'm just curious as to what is available through this company.

Late review, but the ARM did a great job on my move last year. Our move was not the easiest - my apartment complex triple booked our loading dock, but luckily we were parked there first. The movers were careful, worked fast, and were great guys. Would highly recommend them for any move.

Honestly, I've never seen movers work with such efficiency. They arrived early to properly scout the kind of move they were starting. The managed to not get in the way of any of my old and new neighbors, they took the time to go out of their way to pick up some last minute storage that wasn't listed. They even managed to make a timely and effective move to my new complex that only had one small elevator for a move. Not to mention that the elevator broke and they somehow managed to fix that too! I was pleased with this companies services before and I was blown away by my second interaction. If you don't use this company for your next big move you're actually just doing yourself a complete disservice, these are the best of the best!Services: Oversized-item moving

My move was a last minute effort. My original movers had staffing problem, thier movers walk on strike, when I call Atlanta Reliable movers, Lauren answer with a smile, I could tell that through her voice. When I explain what happened, she immediately assured me that they could and would get me moved. The prices was great, they were here at the time scheduled and they did an excellent job of caring for my belongings, they were fast and oh so nice and courteous. Lauren did everything she could to ease my mind, for that I am so greatful to Lauren and her staff. Thanks again,. Brenda

I recently hired Atlanta Reliable Movers for a local move. While I had already cleared out a number of items, the heavier, more unwieldy pieces were left for them. As I was researching which company to hire, I was put off by the per hour pricing that seemed so standard across the industry. So when I came across Atlanta Reliable Movers and their per item pricing, I was sold.Scott and Laurie were super easy to work with. The team they sent out were incredibly professional and handled both my furniture and the respective properties with aplomb (they also showed up 15 minutes early). Though they came with a large, enclosed trailer instead of a box truck, my furniture fit in nicely with room to spare. They took care to wrap and secure the furniture even though I was only moving a mile down the street.I knew what to expect in terms of pricing so I was never under any stress about exceeding an "agreed upon" time estimate (and the insane fees that I had seen once work went past the "agreed upon" time). I paid my deposit via Paypal and the remainder of the cost the same way. There was no haggling over price or payment. It was easy peasy, lemon squeezy. If you're looking for a moving company in the Atlanta area, give Atlanta Reliable Movers a call. See how much you'll save on a local move.

I had a great experience with Atlanta Reliable Movers. They were able to help us with our move last minute. They gave me a reliable quote and everything went according to plan. We had a lot of big pieces, including a piano, and they moved everything up and down stairs without complaint. They charge by item moved, as opposed to by the hour, which was perfect for us because we moved all of our own boxes to cut down on cost. Would highly recommend these fair and reliable movers!

100% recommended! Scott is the most hardworking and committed person I've ever met. I hired him to moved two bedroom sets from North Atlanta to Newnan. He gave me a flat rate. There were difficulties bringing the furniture to the second floor due to the angle of my stairs. It took him and his team two days to finish the set up yet Scott personally came to helped me until everything was done. He was very polite and patient. I was feeling a great sense of guilt to see them working two days in a row. He brought extra help and together they worked together until everything was set up on the second floor. Thank you Scott! I really appreciate you. You sure are reliable!

Great job, JD and Tracey did a wonderful job. Very thoughtful and polite. Moved my 84 year old Mother, and made her feel at ease. Thank you very much.

This is the best moving company, hands down! They were fast, efficient, and professional. We loved that the pricing was based on our items, instead of an hourly rate. They worked with us and were flexible with our date and time. We highly recommend Atlanta Reliable Movers and will definitely use them again in the future!

Laurie and Scott were an absolute blast to work with! I ended up not using them for reasons that were not their fault whatsoever! Laurie was pleasant and very kind and willing to accommodate everything I asked for and they made the process very easy for me. Though I missed on a great opportunity to use them I highly recommend them based on their professionalism and the experience I had just communicating with them on their business. -Kyle

Interactions with all employees, from owners to movers, was fantastic! They responded quickly and respectfully, listened to our needs, and provided fast but careful moving services. They are also one of the very few movers who do not charge by the hour so they are incentivized to finish quickly. I could not be more happy.

It was only our third time moving, since 1995. I hate moving, almost as much as buying a car, because it's often fraught with games and gotcha's. Most mover's provide you with an estimate, which isn't worth the paper it's written on. What you want, is a quote for your move, which is what you'll get with Atlanta Reliable Movers. When a mover charges you by the hour, there's no incentive for them to get it done quickly. With my first two moves, my final price was 2-3 times my estimate. I would spend most of the day agitated about how slow the movers were moving, and fretting over the soaring costs, as the hours ticked away. When I saw the pricing structure of Atlanta Reliable Movers, I stopped looking for other movers. They got their start this year, but don't let that concern you.
Atlanta Reliable Movers, charges by the piece, instead of by the hour. Certain pieces cost more or less than others. I knew exactly what my move would cost, after I booked it. So, this was the most care free move for me. I reserved a start time of 8am, and they showed up at 7:45am. The guys were friendly and professional. It was almost military, the way they called out communications to each other(going up two steps, one, two, watch your heel, coming up on the threshold, doorknob on your left, I'm good, you good, let's go. etc). They worked hard all day, and seemed to enjoy what they were doing, if you can enjoy back breaking work. They disassembled and assembled, and nothing was broken or scratched, except a dent in the laundry room door, and they refunded the cost to purchase a new door.
I write a lot of reviews, and I very rarely give a 5 out 5, because I want my 5's to mean something. People who know me, will tell you that I'm exacting, and expect excellence. Atlanta Reliable Movers, gets a 5, and if you're looking for a mover, give them a call!
