Beautiful location. I used almost an entire shaker of salt on my grits. The fish tasted like nothing, no salt or black pepper whatsoever. I typically don't add salt to anything but it was needed. Our waitress was nice. It wasn't too crowded. Unfortunately, it wasn't beautiful enough for me to go back. There were 7 in our group and we were all disappointed when we left. None of us finished our food. We may have gone on a bad day or something...idk

This is a hometown kind of place. Mostly seafood and fried. The food was good, the tea was great, and friendly service. It was a little confusing to find if you don't know where you were going.

Our family loves Thompson’s Cove, which is about a 30 minute country drive for us. It’s so homey and delicious. They just set tea and water pitchers on the table so you can top off your own cups. I can’t pass on the catfish filet, especially on a Friday evening. They use a traditional Southern cornmeal crust. It’s super. They also have whole catfish and nuggets. The sides are cole slaw (they mince it), fries, and grits (plain or with a small amount of shredded cheese on top). The cole slaw and the cheese grits are alright, not exceptional. There are many fish options: mullet, tilapia, perch, flounder. I can also recommend the oysters. My husband always orders gator tail. The hush puppies are really unique here. They are not dense. They’re like little fluffy pillows. If you have some left over, you can feed them to the turtles on the deck. They will fight over them. A real nice spot for a family dinner. Not fussy. Just comfy. Good service.

This is a great spot for fresh seafood but come early if possible and they have a deck on back where the kiddo's can feed the fish and turtles.

Thursday night was 1st time we have visited this Hidden Secret. Catfish was hot crispy and not greasy. A lot of catfish houses pre cook their fish and refry them when order is place. This makes them creasy and the crust comes off. These were perfect. The crust on the fried shrimp was great. We will make the trip from Macon Again. Reminds me of quality of food served years ago at Yatesville & Barnesville Catfish Houses. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing food. Great view. My kids even eat the food here and and clean their plate, that says alot! (They are picky) th seafood platter has enough food on it a grizzly bear could fill up on it. The sweet tea is truly southern sweet tea and the service is great. My only gripe os that the filet of catfish i had was mainly batter with a little bit of fish, it may ha e been a one off but was still delicious.

Born in raised in Dublin, GA. Nice to come back home and still see this place running stronger and more lively than ever. True southern hospitality, country fried seafood at its best, beautiful scenery by the pond(pond so big it's basically a small lake), and way back in the country woods by Toomsboro, GA. Catfish, shrimp, and hush puppies are still the best I've ever had.

Tam the Sheltie has found a hidden jewel! One of the neatest, coziest, and nostalgic places I've been in years. Knew it was going to be good when server left an ice bucket and pitcher of tea on the table! (And the tea was diabetically sweet - just the way the Southern Gods intended.) Food was absolutely great, the service and attention second to none, and pondside atmosphere so peaceful. Well worth the drive to find places like this that are unfortunately going by the wayside. Can't wait for return trip. Thank you all and keep the tradition alive!
