Thank you for your help today with our air conditioning. Jack was willing to see us even though the service department was slammed unlike another dealership up the road. We were traveling from North Georgia to vacation and pulling a 33 foot camper when the air went out. Jack remedied our problem instantly and got us back on the road. Thank you for saving us.

Broke down July 1, 2024 on interstate 75 at 2am. We had our 5 grandchildren with us. Had my truck and camper pulled to Prince Chevrolet in Tifton, GA. They diagnose the problem, “transmission broke”…they could “order me a new one and have it in 4 weeks for $8795.00.” I opted to use my AAA miles and have it pulled 320 miles home. Took it to my diesel mechanic and it was my transfer case…not my transmission. Fixed and back in business in 3 days….$3800.00. Jack and the boys in service at Prince Chevrolet charged me $77.00 for that incorrect diagnosis. Thanks for trying to take advantage of our misfortune.

Jeffrey was responsive, friendly and very knowledgeable, and followed up after the sale to make sure I knew he was there to answer any questions. Everything went smooth from the initial experience to the paperwork and delivery. It was clear the dealership valued my business.

Edit: I don’t believe “sensitive credit issues” was the issue here. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to go to another Chevrolet dealership and get the exact kind of car I was looking for with the same amount down, no co-signer, and no outrageous interest rate. Just as I tried to do with Prince. If it was due to “sensitive credit issues” why was I not told that? Probably because the credit issue is non existent. I showed Russell a few different Tahoes with less miles and/or more features in our area that was comparable to what Prince has and asked Russell could he work on the price. No answer. The next day I reached out and asked about the Wagoneer that was in Albany. Still no answer. I then went elsewhere and bought the Tahoe in the picture of this review.
This is not the first time I’ve heard of someone like me having similar issues when buying a car at Prince Automotive. I tried to give them a chance and ended up with the same results as some others. So, to see what could have been a possible misunderstanding be blamed on “sensitive credit issues” is pretty disheartening. I was going to have the Tahoe I purchased serviced at a Prince dealership anyway since it’s a Chevy but I guess I’ll have to re-think that too.
Original: Russell was a great salesman at first, but then he ghosted me after I asked for numbers on a couple different vehicles. This was after my credit was pulled and we talked numbers on one car, so it’s not like I wasn’t being serious or just kicking tires. He tried to push me into a new Blazer. I told him several times I was not interested in that because it was smaller than the Pathfinder that I currently had. It worked out for me in the end, though. I took my business to a different dealership and was able to get a much better price on a 2023 Tahoe with loaded features. A Tahoe is what I originally wanted anyway.
I would say just because it’s a hometown dealer doesn’t mean you’ll always get the best price or service. Driving less than an hour saved me almost $8,000 and I was treated like a customer rather than a chore.
