Have purchased several vehicles from Thompson over the years. Today had my Dodge serviced and the Team couldn't have done a better job. I was in and out quickly. Highly recommend for a new / used car or to have your vehicle repaired.

I scheduled an oil change online with the service for 8am when they opened. Upon arrival I was told that it would be at most a 2 hour wait. The service lady came and asked me if I wanted to replace my air filters & I said yes but failed to mention that they didn’t actually have the filters there. After 3 hours I asked what was going on and only then was I informed about the delay. She told me that it should only be a few minutes & after another 20 minutes I was then informed they had the wrong filter & it would only be 10 minutes longer. It took 4 hours for a a basic scheduled service. I do not believe they respect the customers time at all. I am very disappointed in the communication & will probably not be back. Customer service is not top priority & make sure you have plenty of time to spare.

Service department is still terrible. Gave them a try because Milton Ruben has a ton of construction going on. Dropped off for an oil change and recall service in the "express lane" almost four hours later it was done. The recall was just a software update. They called to let me know it was ready never mentioned a balance due. I called when I was 15 minutes out to ask if they could leave the keys at the sales desk since I hit traffic coming back. First time they mention a balance due. I asked if I could pay the balance over the phone or online they said no it had to be in person and that the cashier leaves at 6. Came to pick it up at 8 am cashier was super rude. After I got back in the truck realized she hadn't given me any of the paperwork from the inspection and they didn't clear the recall in the system. Take your vehicle elsewhere!!

Seems friendly atmosphere but not so helpful if u don't have a lot of money or good credit score. Nonetheless, they will work with you to an extent as most dealerships do. My specific rep was cool though.

My experience was truly a blessing for me because of the great customer service shown towards me. Salesman Burgess was very patient and understanding with my lengthy walk through around the car lot. I for one, don't like pushy sales people, so this car buying experience was very refreshing to me. Hats off to this young man; I will be dropping hints to others when they seek a new vehicle. Keep up the excellent work.

Purchase my 2020 Jeep wrangler Unlimited sport on June 3, 2023! They went above and beyond to get me in my jeep! I am greatly appreciative for that. I also purchased all the extras roadside hazard, maintenance extended warranty’s etc. Took my Jeep in on Wednesday August, 2nd 2023 to get it service for the first time since I got it. The very next morning I found a nail center of my tire. So I took it in to get the tire patched under my road hazard warranty. They were either taking the tire off the rim or putting it back on they shredded the bead on my tire, put the tire back on the rim, aired it up and it bubbled. Had the tire not bubbled they would’ve put it on my jeep. Knowing it was shredded. Not even caring about the safety of my family! So when the tire bubbled they then decided they were going to do a road hazard warranty claim. Told me it got approved. Told me the tire was in Augusta would be there that afternoon or in the morning. Come morning I got told it would be after lunch after lunch came I was told that afternoon let’s just say the tire still was not there. Then they got called Saturday, August 5, 2023 that it will be sometime next week. We was constantly getting the runaround. So we told them will be up there to get the old tire and rim and then that’s when we found out what actually happened to the tire. They destroyed the tire and scratched my rim up. Never once did they tell me what they did. Be honest with your customers. I was coming all the way from Waynesboro Ga to this dealership because I trusted them. Never again. Also educate your technicians on how to take a tire off and put it back on a bead lock rim. Also, don’t sell vehicles with dry rotted tires.

My review concerns the service department at Thomson Jeep, and not the sales department. We have purchased two vehicles from Thomson Jeep and found the sales department to be fair and easy to work with in finding and buying a car. Our most recent purchase was a used Ford Truck. We purchased the vehicle in February of 2023. After driving it for 6 months, we took the truck to the service department to have the tires balanced. When the service department called to inform us that the vehicle was ready , they added that the service technician broke the driver’s side mirror. They ordered another and would fix the broken one when the part came in. No explanation. Needless to say, when we went to pick up the truck I asked to speak to the Service Department Manager, Doug, to find out how this happened and to express my concern that my property was damaged . Doug appeared very annoyed that I was upset with the situation. He told me that the service technician got too close to the bar pulling out and hit the mirror. When I expressed that I was not happy that my property was damaged and how I would now need to take another day to bring the truck back to get fixed. His answer was “I don’t know you want me to say; it was an accident and we’re going to fix it!” Now his words weren’t as disrespectful as his tone . It was clear that he thought there wasn’t a problem with my property being damaged , as long as it was being fixed, and that he couldn’t understand or even empathize with my feelings of betrayal. I entrusted them with my property and there was no remorse from him that it had happened. When he again said, “I don’t know what to say, it was just an accident and accidents happen. “ I assured him that in my 62 years of having oil changes and tire work, nothing like this has ever happened, so it was a big thing to me. He responded by saying, “well, we’ve had accidents before and most people don’t react like you.” I was shocked at his disrespect for me and the situation. I then said, “So this is my fault because I’m overreacting ? To you this is nothing.” Again, he began to say, “ I don’t know what you want me ……”, but I interrupted him and said “Choose your next words wisely, because I will be writing about this.” That’s when he said,”We’ll then I’m not talking; I have nothing to say.”I then went to the General Manager . His name was James. I explained that I was upset about my property being damaged and the lack of concern on Doug’s part that this happened. James listened with empathy, validated my feelings and SINCERELY apologized. He took my complaint seriously; however, the entire time James and I were talking, Doug stood there, rolling his eyes and looking annoyed.I hate to say “never”, but if I can help it and given another choice, I WILL NEVER use this service department again. I want a service department that respects not only it’s customers, but also their property. I feel as if my concern for my damaged vehicle was valid, but Doug took my feelings as “just another ‘Karen’ making a big thing out of nothing.” Regardless if that is what Doug felt, he needs to learn to be more empathetic when his department decides to damage a customer’s car during a routine tire balancing.Part of being an administrator is the knowledge of how to work with customers. It’s never wise to make a customer feel like “just another stupid whiny female”, especially if you don’t want them writing a bad review! And by the way Doug, I probably have more college degrees than you do (3) and one is in administration. Not only can I identify a good administrator; I can easily spot a bad one!

I continue to be impressed with the entire team at Thomson Chrysler Dodge Jeep - we’ve been treated like family since the day we stepped on the lot. I never have to worry or wonder if I’m being dealt a straight hand, because they’ve shown their integrity at every step. I highly recommend forming a relationship with this crew if you haven’t already.

Purchased a New Ram 2500 June 28th 2023. The experience at the dealership was great. Mr. McCartney and the sales manager we spoke with were very patient and honest during the sales process. My father and I drove two hours to make a deal and I would make the drive again when I need another vehicle.

Editing original post because this has turned out to be a horrible experience. When I originally went to this dealership I explained that I needed a truck with the capabilities to tow a fully loaded horse trailer. Josh Wilmouth, and the sales manager James Smith, lied and "assured me" that a GMC Canyon was able to tow a horse trailer. After attempting to tow my horse trailer empty I quickly realized this truck was not able to tow pretty much anything. When I went back to the dealership their "solution" to the issue was keeping me there for hours while they attempted to sale me another truck that was listed for the same price as the orignal truck they conned me into expcept they wanted THOUSANDS more to fix their mistake!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They do lie and only care about getting your money not getting you into the right vehicle! If I could give zero stars I would.
