This post is long overdue. A little over 19 months ago we brought home our little Shiba Inu pup that we named Hiro. He is very healthy and has the sweetest temperament of any dog we’ve ever had. Shiba Inus are very special dogs and they are different from most traditional breeds. Please research and understand this before ever committing to one. They are not people pleasing Golden Retrievers. They are independent and stubborn yet they develop very deep relationships with you in ways that I cant quite explain. They communicate with their eyes and with body language, are quiet, clean, SMART and just overall amazing. Once they bond, it runs deep. I highly recommend Showboat Kennels for anyone considering getting one. The only breed of dog we will ever own going forward in life is a Shiba Inu. If we’re fortunate enough to have another in the future, Showboat Kennels is the first place we’ll look. Thank you for the life changing little Shiba Inu that is the center of attention within our family. He’s well cared for and has a special relationship with each of us and he continues to bring us tremendous happiness each and every day.

I got my Shiba from Deborah! I think I won a lottery because I’m luckily having him as my dog. He’s beautiful and perfectly bred. She’s very professional for what she does. I would totally recommended!

My wife and I have gotten both of our shibas through Showboat Kennels and we couldn’t be happier with our sweet dogs and the overall adoption process. Deborah is a consummate professional, very easy to speak to and has an obvious love for all of the animals in her care. We adopted a puppy 2 days after Christmas little toy blk poodle. Jett is a happy, healthy, spunkie little boy. He is on a premium dog food, been neutered and loves his sisters. He is a good addition to our family. Loves to go for a car ride, very good about riding in his car seat too. Couldn't be any happier with him.

This is the most ethical breeder you will find. Our shiba inu, Juno, is almost 6 years old and this is the best canine member of our family we have ever had. She is smart, has a great temperament, highly trainable, sweet, fun, and extremely good looking. Showboat Kennels delivered what they promised. She came to us perfectly healthy and well adjusted. When we are ready to add another member to our family, I will definitely reach out to Showboat Kennels.

I had a very good experience with Deborah. I got a wonderful healthy and beautiful Bolonka puppy from her. He is now two years old and the perfect little gentleman. From start to finish everything went smoothly. Highly recommend for Bolonka.

Deborah and Dakota are the absolute best. Both were forthcoming and easy to communicate with. They respond quickly to texts and were willing to answer any question we had. Getting invited to the dog show was also a ton of fun!
The puppy we selected has a fantastic temperament and personality. She's so fun and loving, just like her mother (who we were also able to meet)! Our little puppy is bright, full of life, and healthy! She's easy to handle as well and displays no unusual fear or ANY aggression - the product of good early socialization and handling. We can touch her paws, tail, chest, belly, mouth, and ears without any issue. Everyone we've met has admired our puppy for her wonderful behavior, personality, and beautiful appearance! I don't think I've ever had as good of an experience with any other breeder and I couldn't be happier with the dog I have. She's an angel and a perfect fit in our family.
I have the utmost faith in this breeder and I know if we ever get another Shiba, it'll be Deborah & Dakota we talk to.
