Showed up for a cancelled appointment when I wasn’t home. My mom let them in (she didn’t know I cancelled). Forced to pay an extra $140 for a safety check, and leaked out every ounce of propane after said “check”. This company is absolutely absurd. Save yourself the time, harassment, money. Go somewhere, anywhere else.

Getting AmeriGas to deliver on time is tough. We are under 5% this morning and have been waiting a week to get our order filled. Now we have paid $200+ for emergency service, to get gas in the next 48 hours. It seems like a very easy way for AmeriGas to make extra money by not delivering in a timely manner. There customer service is off shore & has no idea of what is going on. I don't want to go through this again. We will not buy from AmeriGas again.

As a starting customer for first delivery was great. 2nd delivery a failure. Ordered on the 11th and its the 24th and still don't have it. Was told yesterday it would be here. Now today they are saying tomorrow the 25th. Of course we are talking about people for India. Can't get a American on the phone.

So far, 0 stars ordered 6 days ago. Paid an extra 300 for emergency delivery ( was guaranteed by that night or the next day. ) and still nothing. Can't find a single person at the actual location to speak to. ? turned into a two week wait. And then they didn't have enough gas on the truck to fill the tank ( we prepaid ) we were also told some 18+ HAD to be home and they would need to come into the house since we were completely out. They came and went. Not so much as a knock on the door . Had to light the hot water and such. But we sat there an extra day needing heat and hot water because no one informed us he came. The furthest point I was from our home is a side drive we had put in so our children could safely get off the bus.unless they came at 7:30-8:30 a.m. while delivering my children to school. But even then, I could see the side of the house. However, he snuck in so quickly and silent I haven't a clue
. Our dog didn't even alert us. In summary- I missed 2 weeks of work. Spent extra money and was promised emergency delivery. He did not leave anything on the door that they came. It's bad enough they purchased Heritage Gas that we used and when we needed gas last time we were charged an outrageous fee because they had to test lines and such. They have customer files I assume? Anyway I don't have alot of options out where I live but there are 2 other companies I'm going to give a shot before coming back.

Absolute worst company. They may have the lowest prices but that doesn't matter since they will apparently never deliver it to you and let you run out if gas (even after promising they would never do that to their customers). I requested a delivery almost a month ago, was told it would be delivered no later than January 9 and yet I still have not had a delivery.
Called yet again about them not delivering and was told an attempt was made but nobody was home. When I asked when this delivery attempt was supposedly made, the rep said they didn't know, which to me just proves that was a lie and no attempt was made.
They will absolutely let you run out of gas (even when you follow their protocols of when you should place your order) and then just keep saying they will deliver to you as soon as possible but they never know when that will be.

We were on the Convience Pay and Auto Schedule no problems since 2020. Well my gas apparently ran out early and I never had any reason to check how much because up until now we never had any trouble. Well because it ran out they came and put a lock on our personally owned tank without telling us. I ordered gas and 9 days later still not have had anyone come out. Delivery says today but they did not come. We called another company because we had been out no hot water no stove. They couldn’t get us gas because of the lock we didn’t know about. This company hung up on us multiple times, put us on hold for hours, and gives us the run around every time we get on the phone.

Update: after emailing the customer rep that responded to this review, the issues were resolved and we got our gas. Upgrading this review to 2 stars thanks to her hard work. Will re-evaluate as we continue to get gas from them. Delivery tech was quick, friendly and professional. Not sure what the call center does, was completely unhelpful and could just offer apologies. Special thanks to Meisha for her help and support!!!We have been waiting nearly two weeks to have someone call us back to schedule their ‘sight survey/ inspection’ so we can THEN finally schedule to get our tank filled. We are new owners for the home but prior owners used Amerigas. I have been calling or chatting with their call center every two days trying to talk to someone, anyone, that can actually do anything. They just ‘add you to the list’ so someone from the service department will call in the next day or two. Guess what, not a single call and we can’t schedule anything online since we don’t have that option, probably because we haven’t done the inspection. This is terrible. If our tank goes any lower, I suspect there will be an additional charge because it got too low.Update- the last customer service rep I talked to gave me the ‘service number’ so I could call directly. Call this morning: Another call center but atleast this one could schedule the site survey. Unfortunately it’s 4 weeks out. I just don’t understand why we would need a new survey, the tank hasn’t moved, the address has been serviced by Amerigas before. So I guess at this rate, we might get gas in late Feb early March. We called Amerigas because the prior owners used them and they had the best reviews of the local options. I guess I will start calling other providers and see who can get our business first. I suspect we will be out of gas before Amerigas gets out here.Update 2- We are almost out of gas, got the house set to 50 degrees, buying space heaters... Trying to limit usage so we dont lose hot water and cooking. Called to request an emergency refill 2 days ago. Got put in another cue, was told to expect a call for a refill in 48 hours. No call. Called back again today. Rep says there is nothing in the system. Super frustrated, asked for it to get escalated. Got connected to a supervisor that is going to try to fast track the request. Will see what comes of this. Debating whether we need to go stay with friends for a while to minimize usage since it might be WEEKS before we get any gas. Worried that if we lose heat completely that future cold weather will damage the pipes.

Ordered propane on December 19th and never received it. Have called three times and they promised I would be put on an expedited delivery within 72 hours. Still no call, no text, no show. Would not recommend. Tried ordering when i was at 40 percent and now Im down to 25. Hopefully my brand new furnace doesn't get sooted up from their negligence.

Called when we were at 30% for delivery suppose to b delivery between 19th and 28 called again on the 27th down to 4% . He was rude at customer service said it would be there.Well now it the 14 of Jan. And we have been out. But they called and asked if we wanted a delivery. I told them no I'll wait for the new company. We are also seniors. And sincerely hope that others in a more fragile condition are not treated this way.They aren't worth it.I was with them 5 years and now I'm done.

Amerigas is the worst gas company that I have ever did business with. Never deliver on time even after making repeated phone calls. Deliver times is between two and three weeks after being given a delivery date. I never had this problem when Heritage had it.
