Tallulah Gorge State Park is one of the most spectacular canyons in the eastern U.S., stretching two miles long and nearly 1,000 feet deep. Visitors can enjoy hiking along rim trails to several overlooks or obtain a permit to hike to the gorge floor, though this is limited to 100 permits per day and unavailable during water releases. An impressive suspension bridge swings 80 feet above the rocky bottom, offering breathtaking views of the river and waterfalls. The park features stairs and paths that lead to various scenic spots, with some areas having very steep stairs. The interpretive center provides educational exhibits, a gift shop, and interesting history about the park. The gorge boasts beautiful waterfalls and flowing water, creating a stunning natural scene. Facilities include clean restrooms and showers, although campsites lack garbage cans. Visitors often find the park a perfect place for nature, exercise, and memorable views, making it a must-see destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
Nice shady trail with good views of the gorge. Overlook 2 was the best for views of the falls

My husband and I hiked to the bottom and back up! The falls were beautiful! Was worth it. I was also able to get a stamp at the gift shop for our national passport book! Make sure you have water and good walking shoes!
