This location CONTINUES to disappoint. What a JOKE this place is!! I’ve never seen mgmt less concerned about customer experiences in my life! So all summer the gym has been FULL of kids - kids that don’t respect others or follow the “rules”. Great idea Planet Fitness - let all the HS kids in free so they can loiter and suck up space paying customers are trying to use. Brilliant!!
To top it off, I’m in there working out on 7/13. Minding my own - in the dumbbell area doing sets. A kid, wearing a planet fitness shirt, comes up to me in the middle of my workout, starts pestering me, I take out my earphones, and said “what”? He proceeds to tell me that he works here, points to a very official looking sign in Planet Fitness colors on the mirror, saying that dumbbells are for gay people only. He then starts repeatedly asking me if I’m gay. I ignore him. Go back to lifting. He persists. He counts off my next set with me outloud. Now I’m getting angry. When I finish that set, he is still in my face, now asking me LOUDLY if I Suck Cxck!!! Over and over he screams this at me - a crowd has gathered now watching this as he HUMILIATES me in front of everyone. Now I’m livid, and about to take matters in my own hands (adrenaline pumping, testosterone flowing - I’m fired up). FINALLY, a “real” employee comes over, after this has gone on for 3 full minutes or more, and steps between us and escorts the imposter out. This kid was obviously “punking” me, with a buddy filming the whole thing in the background, for kicks. At a planet fitness where he used the name Johnny Bravo to get a free membership!! REALLY!?? Johnny Bravo!?? Give me a break! Clearly nobody is paying attention here or doesn’t care, or both. Think about the complete lack of accountability this establishment is showing. Anyone can come in, claim to be a high school student, and get a free membership, obviously without showing ID. Once again, BRILLIANT Planet Fitness. Brilliant.
Now we are past this incident by 10 days. I called the Monday after the incident and spoke to Kelvin, the GM. He was polite, however unable to do anything. He said he would have his regional manager call me. 10 days later, I called back. Kelvin “oh I called you back - thought I left a message (he didn’t). Regional Manager said we can’t do anything but just apologize”. Supposedly they called my home gym and they are going to give me 3 months free. Wow. $60 for being humiliated as a result of Planet Fitness’ free high school student, no accountability, not paying attention, asleep at the wheel policy. Once again, Brilliant.
So Planet Fitness, clearly without any forethought, institutes this free high school student with no ID membership policy, and now refuses to do anything meaningful when a paying member is publicly harassed as a result of this incompetently administered policy. I’m furious with the lack of care or respect they have for their PAYING clients, and further their complete refusal to take responsibility for the result of their actions. This location is a JOKE.
This is not over for me, or them. I’m contacting my attorney the moment I finish typing this and intend to pursue restitution by any means necessary. In addition, I’m going to share this story and the link to this review with EVERYONE I KNOW. I will receive restitution one way or another. And I’ll do everything in my power to let as many people as possible know what a complete Shxt Show this place is. Count on it.
Further now, this is more harassment I’ve had to endure at the hands of these geniuses at Planet Fitness. Twice previously I’ve been hounded to sign in when I visit this location as a black card member, and pushed to switch my membership to this location. They are clearly unhappy with the black card policy and chose to harass members of other PF locations when they visit this store. Hey owners - you signed up for this when you became a Planet Fitness! As summer begins there’s an influx of children who use the space as a hangout spot. I politely asked the guy at the front desk who wears a green mask if he could ask people to not just sit on machines but utilize them. He said verbatim “there’s nothing I can do about that” with a baffled look. There wasn’t a bit of concern or hospitality. I use this gym way too often to get such response. Not happy at all.

Wanted to give 0 stars. Absolutely terrible experience to cancel my membership as it took close to 2 months to cancel. I went in-person to cancel during week day, the guy on the front desk ask his Supervisor to take care. The guy told me my account was not in sync and will get my account canceled the next day. I was told billing would have to stopped by the 10th of the month and not the 17th it shows up on your credit card.
Next month, I was billed again. I called the gym the guy took down my info and said he will pass it on to the morning shift person. Suspicious I called after a week to check if my account was canceled. The new guy said I need to come in-person to cancel. I told I already over paid. He said can't get refund and brought his Manager. The guy said my account was not in sync and there was no cancellation notes. He said he will call after a couple of hours after I got angry with the guy. Finally, got my membership cancelled. The guy never apologized for their mistakes.
Stay far away this Planet Fitness!!!

Downgrading to 2 stars from 5!!
Had a terrible experience today. A personal trainer was 'blocking off' machines for her 'customer' for 'paid sessions'. She was extremely rude! Told staff, they promised to take action.
This clearly violates planet fitness policy of not allowing personal trainers!
I will take my rating back to 5 stars if the staff actually act on this!!

I have to say that Francois that is there every morning is an amazing young man. He is very very polite, sweet, kind. He is ALWAYS working ALWAYS. I have never seen him in his cell phone seating there like most of employees does. He is always cleaning doors, cleaning equipments and mopping. I have not seen any other employees doing it. He is the one you want in your company. God bless him.

This Planet Fitness is Awesome as the Equipment is "Like New" and Amazing! Kudos to Hakim at the Front Desk as he is very nice and inviting. Hakim always greets me with a Smile and Good Morning and is willing to help out with all my questions and needs. Hakim is a Fantastic employee! He's an asset to Planet Fitness! Thanks Hakim for working hard and taking care of your clients! You truly Excel! I “Highly" recommended this location of PF as it's never overcrowded and the staff and amenities are Awesome! Kudos to Hakim and I am Very Happy to Provide this Planet Fitness with 5 Stars! A visiting friend from Bluffton, SC.
