WARNING DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This company does not employ people who speak English it was hard to communicate with their staff a bunch of thieves that don't operate with good integrity. The original sales rep will not return my calls just tell me to call the office. I have several email chains telling them they stole 2 gold bracelets from my home. GOLD does not mold and my jewelry box is empty. They don't know the difference between water damage and mold damage which would cost you thousands of dollars in losses with your insurance company. I have been speaking with them for 4 months in hopes resolve the issue I had writing a review, however, in light of finding out the GOLD Jewelry of my moms and grandmother is missing and the monetary damages they have caused I would not want anyone else to use this company. My insurance adjuster also stated they wanted me to use another company because their report lacks the evidence you need to make a claim. I used them based on my client's referral, my mistake. I would not refer them to any one of my clients. On top of this, they have not returned the items they were supposed to clean and store at their location while I restored my home. I keep getting the runaround. Total Loss of damages over $7,000.00++ from the items I can not get back or claim, this total is from the negligence from their report and stolen items. I would not recommend them to my worst client. Don't be a victim. HOMEOWNER BEWARE. Save yourself heartache and money. Take your business elsewhere. below you will see my jewelry box is empty with no sign of mold. UMMM

Please read all reviews before choosing this company. I could add so much more.The person that recommended this company to me was Anthony Hill with Georgia Restoration Management . My husband passed away unexpectedly and shortly there after I had a flood in my basement . I was overwhelmed with grief, and now a year and a month later, I am still trying to get this company to make good on all the damages they made to my belongings, my furniture, all the memories that I have left of my husband . They packed it out in so many boxes, one or two items per box that I am still having to rent a storage building to hold what they took out of my basement until I can get everything opened . I live alone, and I have no family to help. I'm just devastated and heartbroken that I believed, and took them at their word. I wish I had read some of these reviews first but they have all happened since my situation took place. I didn't want to give them one star. In fact, I feel like I'm lying by representing them with one star.

This review of Modern Restoration is not intended to persuade anyone to not deal with them, but rather our own experience.First of all, we had no problem with the workers who came to our house to pack up our contents and then return them.Our dissatisfaction lies with the Business Development Manager. (BDM)First of all, we were asked to sign a 4 page contract. We signed it w/o really looking it over. Our fault. We probably would have said good bye there and then. The work team arrived and took 2 days to wrap and pack and move everything to the garage. They did a good job. However, we stated we did not want an entertainment unit moved , as it contained a complicated electronic wired system. The project manager said it had to be moved, but called the BDM for advice. He advised the Project Manager to leave the electronic parts boxes open and they would set the system up again when moved back into the house. I questioned the PM about this several times, but he assured me they knew how to do it.Well, they didn't, and also denied that had said they would. Plain lied.The crew that took the contents out to the garage was not the same one that moved them out to the garage, so we had no one to confront.We called the BDM, who also denied it, but advised us to call the Geek Squad as insurance would pay for it.We called the main office to talk to someone but they never returned our call.Now we realize why they don't want a deposit before they pack up and move your out, but full payment by Certified Check before they move you back in.

Just came here to say don't use Modern Restoration out of Suwannee. They quoted a price with cleaning and later told me cleaning wasn't included. They contaminated all of my items because they stored clean items with unclean, they refused to even let me see the items they stored and "cleaned" without me paying first. Then they didn't clean anything and put the dirty items (we're talking sewage) back in my house, and had the audacity to tell me they cleaned everything (after they admitted they didn't clean anything) despite me having proof the items were dirty. They literally told me I need to have the items lab tested to prove they were clean! I had other issues such as a damaged item and them getting keep/toss/clean items wrong too. Total headache and they demanded a check or money order before they would give me back my stuff so I can't even get my money back. Straight liars and crooks. Spread the word. I'd give negative stars if I could.

My water heater busted and this Company packed my contents safely and grouped the rooms together. Kept it in a safe storage facility until I could move back in.All of my items were returned and the company put every item in the room it was taken from. I recommend this company especially if you want your items back in great condition!Service: Water damage-related cleanup & repair

These guy's are Scam's!!! They will tell you anything to get the job one's the insurance company pay them they will not live up to their word. I will never recommend or advice anyone to choose the company foreal!!!

Do not use this company!!I hired modern restoration when my house was badly damaged due to roof replacement gone bad!They arrived to my house within 24 hours to pack up my life!!I spoke with Andrew who told me that I didn’t have to pack anything up that the crew would do everything only for them to show up move very very slow and tell me that I should have had something’s packed up.They also took things I did not tell them to take and here I am taking care of 2 newborn babies I cannot stand over them to make sure they didn’t take what I told them not to only to come back and see that they took it anyways! I specifically asked for them not to take my important box that had mine and my family’s birth certificate in it! They took that!My first initial experience was fine besides the fact that they never told me they store my items somewhere I cannot have access to in Swanee GA over a hour and something away from me! I didn’t find this out until in the middle of the pack out, they said keep what you need because you cannot assess you belongings! They promised to return my items immediately which clearly is a lie as of today I called to schedule to have my items returned to me IMMEDIATELY and was told that I had to wait 2 weeks to get my items returned and that if no payment was received by insurance that I would not get my items!The front desk lady is rude and doesn’t understand my frustration, laughing in the background well I speak with Andrew the Superviosr who also promised immediate return of items! Claiming he understand I have 2 small babies and want them to be happy and healthy but clearly doesn’t care!!So after being forced to take the next available day and be put on a waiting list for cancellations all of a sudden they spoke with adjuster just then who said give him until Tuesday!! Claiming that they have been talking with the adjuster wondering when the final numbers will be in so they can get paid but never called me regarding this considering it’s my house and my items! Had I not called today I would have known nothing about this. Basically calling me a lair and telling me I made up him telling me my items will be returned immediately. I 100% will never recommend this company!They also promised to put them back together that they broke down and possibly broke to pack up but we’ll see if that happens! I’m sure they won’t uphold their part of the contract.Service: Water damage-related mold removal

This company was recommended to me by Jenkins Restoration after a fire in my basement. They stored and cleaned furniture from the basement and main level of my house. Modern delivered the cleaned furniture to the main floor and omitted to bring the family room items. Though it was their fault, they would not come back deliver the furniture and we were without it for months while the basement was being restored. Once we began opening boxes from the main floor items we realized the boxes were packed not full or only contained 1 item. They charged for each box that was not full. Total cost for cleaning and storage was over 40k. When they finally delivered the last items, boxes were half full or only had 1 item in it. They also blocked a light switch with a chest, left a file cabinet in the middle of the floor, put a refrigerator in the wrong place, did not put the bed back together because they said there were no screws for the headboard. The screws were there when they moved the bed. I called to asked to get someone out to correct these mistakes and was asked to send them a picture so they could see what type screws were needed. I emailed the picture and didn't hear back. I called again and was told they were reviewing and would make a decision on correcting their mistake. I haven't heard from them again.

I had a normal service initially when they came to pick up my items for storage and assessed the damage items. However, I had a very bad service when it was time to return my items.1. They refused to return my items immediately as they promised. Kept saying they hadn't heard from the insurance company when that wasn't the case.2. Failed to assemble items as promised - took 2 weeks to install my pool table3. Four of my Items got damaged and they failed to do anything about it. They cited a few lines on the fine print, that damage wasn't significant and they were under no obligation to fix or place - note their own employee confirmed that this was a damage, and that it would be proper for the company to address it, but they didn't.4. One item got missing and till today they haven't replaced.5. Lady at the front desk was rude and couldn't understand my frustrations.They were very slow to respond at every juncture.Only reason I used them was because they were referred and brought in by the demolition company. I will not recommend them. Please stay away from them.

This company was used to store and decontaminate my furniture and belonging from sewage damage in my basement. I had a high-quality desk that cost $1599. Modern sent a salvageable report saying that this item was cleanable and charged me to clean it without reporting any damage to my desk during move out or transportation. Modern moved my furniture back in my basement in December 2021. They left before I could visually inspect the furntire that was put back together. All parts of my desk were put back together with quality with the exception of the side panel and a door or my credenza in which Modern drilled two big holes. This was poorly put back together on the credenza end and the chipped wood was visible. They refuse to pay me for damaging my $1599 desk. I want to be reimbursed because my desk has to be replaced. I filed a claim and they denied it saying that during move out or transportation that they couldn't guarantee pressed wood. This was done putting it back together with poor workmanship. I still have the broken deadbolts from this damage. The pictures reflect lack of ability to put my desk back together with quality and the report in which they said that my desk was cleanable with no damage. This is negligence as all other parts of my desk were installed back correctly and your people didn't bring this to my attention. You don't get a blanket pass for messing up the reassembly of my desk and this doesn't fall under the clause that Modern supplied to get out of reimbursing me for something that they charged me for that they said was cleanable. I want my desk replaced or the cost of my $1599 desk reimbursed. Roto Rooter no longer uses them and they have similar complaints with BBB. Do not use this company.

Had a really good experience with Modern Restoration. Tina led the group that came and packed up everything in the area that I had water damage. They were very cordial and went quickly about their work. Everything was treated with care and carefully wrapped for storage. Once I called and requested a delivery of all they had stored, it was delivered in just a few days and again Jimmy led a very good team that were cordial and did a good job taking care of furniture. So good to have a good company to work with in a stressful situation.

Our home flooded and all contents had to be catalogued, removed, stored, returned and put back as found. This company and the folks with whom I worked were EXCELLENT. Andrew was the coordinator of all efforts and Dion and one other person were the 'on the ground' supervisors. The packing took all day and into the night and Dion was calling me periodically to let me know progress and also to ask questions if there were particular concerns. The entire process was professional and interactive and I felt very comfortable with their care of our property even if we weren't present. My trust was placed well - because they took very good care of everything they handled. I recommend them HIGHLY!Services: Fire damage cleanup & repair

This company is AMAZING! I am a property manager and we had a flood and needed to get the residents and items moved asap, Matt, Tina and Andrew have been readily available for us at all times. We are amazed by how smooth the process was and all of our residents were thrilled when they got home to see their items either neatly packed and stored or unpacked just like their previous apartment. I highly recommend Modern Restoration and I 100% will be contacting them in the future for any issues I may have.

When we had a major water leak forcing us to replace all our hardwood flooring, the Modern Restoration crew took exceptional care and attention to packing, moving, storing and then returning all our items exactly where they had been previously. In the numerous instances when I changed my mind about where couches or bookcases should go, they patiently moved things exactly to my liking all the while laying down protective blankets over our new floors. Their attention to quality and customer satisfaction far exceeded my expectations!

We used Modern Restoration when our house was badly damaged by a negligent roof replacement. Modern Restoration arrived at our house 24 hours after the damage was reported with an incredibly hard-working team at the ready. They carefully packed and inventoried individual contents (some that were damaged from roof water) from five rooms in our home. Each and every item was accounted for on the contents list. Even boxes of rocks and acorns that my young son had been "saving" in his room! They took our items to their facility for storage, and items that had been damaged were professionally cleaned (linens, drapery, etc.). Both teams of employees (both the pack-out and the move-back-in teams) were incredible to work with, especially the project managers for each team. Thank you, Modern Restoration, for being a bright spot during our disaster!
