When my trusty 1994 Ford Ranger needed a fresh set of tires, I embarked on a quest that would lead me to unexpected savings and exceptional service. The local options—Carl’s Tires and Black’s Tire—greeted me with price tags that seemed to defy gravity: $400 and a whopping $574.58, respectively. It was as if they’d inflated their prices along with the tires!
But then, like a whispered secret from the automotive gods, a friend mentioned a hidden gem—an oasis of rubber and road wisdom—in Summerville, Georgia. Now, Summerville wasn’t exactly next door; it was an hour’s drive away. But when it comes to saving money, I’m willing to put some miles on the odometer.
I arrived at the Tire Shop, a modest establishment nestled among the Georgia pines. The owner, Gary, greeted me with a genuine smile. His hands-on approach was refreshing; he didn’t just manage the place from an ivory tower—he loaded my tires himself! Gary’s passion for rubber and rims was contagious; he spoke about tread patterns and sidewall strength as if they were ancient runes.
Brandon, the tire whisperer, emerged from the depths of the shop. Armed with determination and a spreadsheet, he embarked on a tire-hunting expedition. He scoured the corners of the universe (or at least the internet) to find me the best deal. After much deliberation, he presented his masterpiece: a grand total of $370, tax included. I was floored. It was like finding a unicorn in a parking lot.

Went to get a tire alignment. It was around 45 dollars and my tires were still not aligned. Dangerously unaligned at that. And had to take it somewhere else to fix.

Don't bother getting drum brakes changed here. Took them 5+ hrs to get them changed then made the excuse that it takes hours to change. It only takes hours when the worker keeps jumping over to do other cars that come in after you've already been waiting.

I bought a warranty for the 4 new tires I purchased. I had a nail go through the side wall. I had to have it replaced at a different tire retailer. I called while my tire was being change to find out what I needed to bring in. I was told bring the receipt for the warranty and the receipt for the warranty. When I got to Reece 4 days later. (I'm not local) I was told I needed the tire that was punctured. I couldn't get that. It had already been disposed. So, the warranty wasn't honored. It states nothing about bringing the damaged tire on the warranty. I gave 1 stars because the tires were a good price when I bought them.

Don't do it! Just don't. "As smooth as anything I've ever driven."that's the response I got from the owner 6 hours to change a ball joint. And I left with my car shaking worse than it was before I got there.
