Kroger is a large grocery store offering thousands of quality food and household products, from fresh produce and meats to dairy, home goods, and pharmaceutical needs. It is described as a one-stop shop for savings, with many customers appreciating the wide selection and frequent sales. For some, the vast array of products compared to smaller hometown stores is overwhelming but positive, with polite and helpful young employees often noted for their kindness in assisting customers and at checkout. However, experiences can vary. Several reviews highlight significant issues in the self-checkout area, particularly near the pharmacy. Customers report long lines and frequent machine problems, with only one employee assigned to manage many frustrated shoppers, leading to very long wait times. Stock issues are also mentioned, with specific store-brand items like whole wheat buns and tortillas sometimes out of stock or, in one case, moldy despite sealed packaging. Positive feedback frequently highlights exceptional individual staff members. Employees in self-checkout are praised for being amazing, helpful, patient, sweet, and kind while managing chaotic situations. The pharmacy staff also receives commendation for being professional, knowledgeable, and caring when explaining prescriptions in detail.
I have a major gluten issue. I love ranch Doritos but can no longer eat them. Kroger has their own brand and it’s gluten free. They taste the same as the non gluten ones.

It's a store that sells groceries. Most of the time they have what you want...sometimes they're sold out.

Several people were having issues in the self check out section. The young lady working that spot certainly had her hands full. She kept her cool and was so sweet and kind. This was 3/6/24 around 3:00 pm? The self check out near the pharmacy. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name.
