“As long as I've lived in Decatur, I can honestly say I've never been to this location before last night!I few weeks ago, I received an email from Ace Hardware inviting me to their Ladies Night Annual event!It talked about a swag bag and other items that were going to raffle off with the proceeds going to charity!There was going to be live music, free food and drinks!I was really looking forward to this because of a simmula event that I attended some yrs ago at a Home Depot!I call myself getting there an hour early to snag one of the swag bags!To my surprise, it appears that everyone else was thinking the same!There were so many people there!This created long lines for food and the drinks!The live band was interesting and entertaining.I didn't get a swag bag, nor did I win any of the raffle prizes!I will admit I had a very good time and I'm planning on going back this weekend so I can really take my time and shop the store minus the long lines and crowds of people!I did have a fantastic time, and I look forward to next year's event!Thank you, Ace Hardware, for a wonderful event!#Ladiesnight#acehardware#goodtimes”

“I am always surprised by the things that ace hardware carries in west in. Usually they have what I need, particularly in regards hardware. You will pay a slight premium however, it’s worth it, not only because the service is excellent, but because we need to support our local businesses.”
“Honest, integral and determined to make the customer happy. We had a hiccup, as expected with any home improvement project, however they were willing to compensate for the mistake. We did not find it necessary given the excellent work they performed along with their patience with our expectations. Byron and Yolanda are great people.”
“I went to the store Sherwin Williams store in Beaufort South Carolina for some paint which I prior used in my dining room. I wasn't sure whether that would still be available but the sales person was very helpful. The paint was shaken and stirred and the sales person was very polite and helpful. I went back again yesterday and had a different sales person but with the same results was very helpful took the time to make sure that I was getting the product that I asked. The paint was shaken and stirred. I had a large discount for both products due to my history with the store, the product price for the quality was so inexpensive compared to any big box store. It was amazing and I'll continue to use Sherwin Williams as my paint store. If you use the store and sign up for discounts they will send you coupons to lower you Sharon Terantino”
“Great product: selection, stock, and minimum brushing required. I really appreciate Rebecca's assistance in selecting the right paint for my bathroom. I highly recommend the acrylic paint with air purifying technology. Minimum smell from the bucket and no smell when it dries. The pictures ? don't do the store justice. It can be business at times.”

The two gentlemen who run this store display kindness and customer service from a bygone era! As soon as I opened the door, they greeted me as if they had been waiting all day for me to stop by for my can of paint! As someone who just fully renovated my house and is still suffering PTSD from all of the hassle of THAT experience, I cannot recommend this paint store highly enough! “The Howell Mill store in Atlanta was staffed by one very kind and professional young man last Sunday October 22nd. He took the time to figure out what color I was talking about by researching all my past samples and then mixed it. I went in the store less than 2 minutes before closing and this is what makes my experience there so memorable. I was never rushed or felt like I was keeping him from closing on time.”

“Great Experience. I have been to this location over a dozen times and it is clean and the staff is friendly. Free parking is down the narrow drive in the back of the building, but plenty of spots. Overall a much better experience than the paint counters at home improvement stores.”
“First off, this is a commercial store. If homeowners are complaining it is because this store does big business for big companies. If you want to go in and ask questions that waste time go to home depot. This is the best place for contractors needing industrial products at an affordable price. Staff is awesome and always has the quantity needed. You guys rock, keep it up. (Get it painted for less inc.)”

“I never thought I would be reviewing a paint store. I normally go to Home Depot, but came here because we found several SW-specific colors we liked (& because the team doing our painting prefers SW) Not only was the guy working here super nice and friendly, he rushed mixing some paint samples for me because I had sleeping babies in the car. I sat outside until he waved to me. I've gone back to this location several times over the years and they never disappoint.”

I purchased the correct batteries from Amazon, they arrived and I still can't het the dang battery in correctly. I have returned the batteries to Amazon and will be taking my Gate Fob to Bates Ace Hardware and let the folks that know how to do it, and do it correctly get my Gate Fob back in order.
