“There comes a time in our life when we realize something is missing! That it’s time for change! To admit, I don’t have all the answers, and I don’t know where to go from here. For me, that was in July of 2001. Attending church had been a part of my adult life, but at this point, I needed something more. So, I began going from church to church looking for something more.My life was broken, shattered into thousands of pieces, and I had no glue to fix it. I had three children who were depending on me to keep it together as our world was changing. I was at a point where I had nothing left to give. I had no answers, no strength, no fight left. I was indeed down, depressed, and in debt with $27.00 in my bank account. I had a mortgage I couldn’t afford, children to provide for, and one year left to graduate from college. I remember it as if it were yesterday. I thank God for where he has brought me from and where I am today. If I hadn’t had problems, then I may have never known he could solve them. That’s when I made a vow to the Lord to serve him all the days of my life.That September 2001, the Lord sent an Angel. He began to tell me about the Body of Christ and his Latter Rain Ministry that speaks the words of life in spirit and in truth. By his Grace and Mercy, the Lord extended his invitation to my family. First in 2003, my mother came into the church and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. She began to share her excitement of what the Lord had done for her. I saw and heard a change in her life. In February 2004, I experienced my first service and it was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. By November 2005, my children and I began attending service regularly.What amazes me is when you get real with God, he will get real with you. After six months and much prayer, I finally let go of how I thought I should serve the Lord. I asked him if this church was really where he wanted me to be? Another question I had, is the Holy Ghost real? I believed Jesus was leading me and would answer these questions. Spring of 2006, he baptized me with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance. From that moment on, Jesus has given me a new life, he continues to renew my hope, he strengthens me daily, and he is teaching me how to grow up in the word of God.Now, I have a chance to overcome the sin in my life as Jesus shows me the way through the word of God that is being taught through his God called Ministry. Psalm 119:11, Thy word have I hid in my heart, That I might not sin against thee. Ephesian 4:11-14, And he gave some, apostles; and some prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the statue of the fulness of Christ...There is victory in Jesus! I owe my life to the Lord Jesus Christ and to God Our Father which art in heaven whom my soul loveth. The Church of the Latter Rain is speaking the truth of the word of God in spirit and in truth. If you are reading this, the Lord is leading you to have a greater experience with him. He is leading you to the changes you need to make, in order to have a New Life. Proverbs 3:5-7, Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.
