Ray appears to be very incompetent. I spoke with him on the phone, one hour approximately before paying and picking up a box truck to retrieve the item I paid for and drive an hour to pickup, which he confirmed was in the store. He told me to ring my driver's license and receipt. I told him I had the receipt # and when I arrived at the store, he looked me in my face and lied saying he couldn't find my item after already have confirmed it was there, because I didnt have the physical receipt, which I found to be a lie after Michelle confirmed my item was right inside the door going to the warehouse the next morning. Ray called Willie and NEITHER were a help. The level of incompetency, lack of customer service, and "know-how" is professionally distasteful. The supervisory representation at this location needs some training. They do not represent Big Lots well at all, and displayed a blatant disregard for a concern I had which left me out of funds unnecessarily.

Remember back when there were locally owned stores who actually WANTED your business, who would try hard to get it? It seems we've arrived in this intelligence-lacking world where that's no longer true. I needed to buy a bigger size, comfortable recliner and found one at the Stockbridge location of BIG LOTS. HOWEVER, it seems they only had ONE of these ANYWHERE... in the country, sitting on the floor in Stockbridge. But they REFUSED to sell it to me "because it's against our policy". If I was a stockholder I would SUE them for allowing "policy" to EVER SUPERSEDE the needs of a potential customer.... OR the bottom line of the company. A company where clearly ... INSANITY REIGNS! I guess ignorant customers would continue buying from them... I WILL NOT!

What can I say about Big lots, I absolutely love the place and it's one of my husband's favorite places to shop. He will get out the car every time when we go to Big lots.
Since we're truck drivers we travel all over the country and we do like to stop at different stores. So stopping at Big Lots was a no-brainer for us. We stopped just to see the different things they offer from the area in which we live.
I've been looking for way to reorganize the shelf space in our truck. I picked up some random storage containers, the kind you You used to create your own drawers.
I sized him up just by looking. I took them to my truck and they worked perfectly in every space I needed them.
Thanks Big Lots You guys came through again! ??

Most items are not priced and items that did have price were higher at the register. Be sure and check your receipt or that price matches what you expect to pay at the register. I was over charged for 5 items 1 only a $1 more but 4 two leter that were supposed to be 2 for $4.00 I was charged 2.99 each for.
