If they aren't helpful during purchase, do you think they will help after? Tried to get a quote for a windshield , website would not give a total. Called the 800 number, they no longer take phone calls. Did live chat and was informed they will not give a total untill you agree and make an appointment.Customer service is a very important part of my decision making process.Service: Auto side window replacement

Made me wait 2 weeks just to tell me they can't repair my windshield due to a previous accident. Car was repaired professionally before-hand. Wasted my time while a local shop had my car repaired within an hour. Not to mention for $200 less.

I was trying to get a glass replacement scheduled via my insurance company. I simply wanted to call and schedule a time to repair. They/Safelite will not answer the phone due to COVID???? I was unaware of COVID being transmitted through the phone towers so I called my doctor and he said that it's not possible BUT if you watch CNN then you might believe this to be true. So maybe that's what they watch, who knows.... Anyway I have a hard time being inconvenienced when I am trying to give someone my business and or money!!!! I called and had my insurance company go elsewhere.

My windshield got broken by a rock on the highway. I called my insurance company to report it and to my delight they made an appointment with Safelight to replace my windshield the next week. When the repair technician showed up he had the wrong windshield. He called in and they gave me another date for the repair. The day before I was to get it replaced I got a call from Safelight saying they were having trouble getting the windshield and needed to reschedule when they found one. I waited over a week and no one called so I called my insurance company back because I couldn't find a way to contact anyone at Safelight. My insurance company said they couldn't get anyone to return a call so I went to a small local glass company and they were not only able to get the windshield but also put it in immediately. If a small glass shop could get the windshield in two days I know a national company certainly could. I understand that Covid is an issue but it's no excuse in this case. I will never use them again. I had to give them 1 star to post this but, actually I give them a 0. By the way my insurance wasn't happy either. Buy local.

After my appointment was missed, and a promise that they would be in first thing the next morning, the tech didn't show up till the afternoon the next day. And the windshield leaks now. Waiting to see if they make it right.

Deceptive advertisement on T.V. As they say most insurance covers their repairs. A total lie. The should say if you are lucky you will be one of few that the insurance will cover. They also say they will come to you. Another lie. They should say say we might come to you if your close. I hate adds that bend the truth. They should say if you prove the insurance can cover we might come and fix you windshield. But most likely we will ask you to come to our shop to fix.
