They quoted me a price over the phone of $303 for a transmission fluid change, I drove my vehicle 30 minutes to them, and there seemed to be some confusion when I checked my car in so I asked before I left if we were on the same page with the quote. I was told we were on the same page and we were all set so I left. I was 20 minutes away when they called and said the employee made a mistake and the quote was incorrect. They would "make it right" by increasing the cost of service by $70 to $370. The consumer shouldn't have to pay for your mistakes and, yes, your employees represent your business. I (and my ride) drove 40 miles each for nothing because of this mistake. The fact that you do business in a way where you were willing to make an innocent person pay for your employee's mistake means you earned this one star. Luckily, I found a shop with a 4.5 star rating who quoted the exact same service for $225.
Edit/response: I don't have a history of negative reviews. I've made 29 reviews, 13 of which are 5 star reviews, and one is a 4 star review. So literally half of my reviews are excellent reviews, Two of the 5 star reviews are on mechanics/mechanic shops. Also, we spoke for several minutes after I was informed of the higher price, not once was I offered another option of less expensive fluid, even after I said I was coming back to get my car. Lastly, the quote offered the previous week was mentioned in the response to the review. If I had known that the quote I was given was incorrect or would change, I would have written it down or recorded the phone call. I had no reason to think when I called back I would be given incorrect info, especially after I double checked with the person on the phone. Regardless, I was given the wrong information the day I brought my car and I had to pay for that mistake. It wasn't right, no matter how you try to spin it.

I brought in the car to have them check 2 emission codes and a steering wheel rattle. They fixed one of the emissions repairs but did not address the other emissions code, nor the steering rattle. They told me did not hear the steering rattle, even though it was very apparent.

This is the only place that I will take my car! They work really hard and as quickly as possible to provide top notch service for reasonable prices. I really appreciate their ethics and quality of work.

I have 50+ years of vehicle ownership under my driving gloves. I've dealt with dealerships and independent shops, and a shade-tree mechanic or two.
My cars and trucks have been British (1968 British Leyland Rover), Japanese (1972 Datsun Pickup and 1992 Nissan Maxima), American (1977 Pontiac Firebird), French (1984 Peugeot 505 STI), German (1998 BMW Z3) and finally a 2023 Honda Ridgeline RTL.
This is to say I've dealt with a variety of auto cultures and repair centers and recognize when I'm being gaslighted or smoked. I learned to focus on the little things that aren't as noticeable as the stately waiting room at the BMW "stealership" or the multiple service lanes and dozens of service agents at the mega repair places. NEN has everything you need including polite and efficient employees, a clean interface, great location, and a culture of fair auto repair service.
NEN Auto Service and Repair first passed my service and price test when I brought my partner's car in for a simple repair. I therefore brought my pride and joy 1998 bimmer in for work. Their estimate was spot on, and in one case nearly half the estimate from the BMW stealership that I've used in the past. The discussion regarding parts was comprehensive and thorough, and I even felt that they were looking out for my pocketbook...RARE. The work was done timely and fairly.
I won't be shopping around for auto service anymore. This is where I'll take our vehicles. Anyone who asks me that critical question: "Know a good mechanic?" is going to be sent here.

After experiencing issues with my vehicle, the last place I desire was the dealership. So, did my homework and found nearby shop whom had good reviews. My experience has been excellent! Fast , friendly and affordable.
I’ve found repair shop whom I can trust with professional service.

Highly recommend this place. Im not 1 for leaving reviews unless the service was that bad or unless the place really impressed me. Well this place went above my expectations. I am a 30 yr heavy duty tractor trailer mechanic and impressing me isnt easily done but the people here managed to do it. I wasnt just a number on there board they wanted to take care of the problem i had and did without trying to sell me things that i didnt need. They was very profetional and honest and i would trust them to work on any of my families cars. I will be using them for all my needs from now on

These people are so nice. We will be taking my wife's Cadillac 2017 back there for any service needs. Also my wife left here Debit card in the cup holder right where she left if very Honest people. The reception is very helpful and very very nice.

I was tired of the poor quality shoddy repair work from the auto shops near me. Went online to check 5-star reviewed auto repair shops and N.E.N. was the top of the list. Even though they were located half hour away, I had to try. My car needed quite a bit of work. The result? They fixed my car within a reasonable time, found the causes of all the squeaks and creaks.fixed my oil leak and I gave me a reasonable price. Now I can drive without embarrassment and I have my car running like I remember it. Thank you N.E.N! You’re one of the good ones.

Was told my car would be ready Monday.. Monday comes no call so i call them I get a long story about how they had the wrong part and the cost of service ended up being more than what I was initially told!! On top of all that come to pick you my car to find it park upside the garage door. Of course, he(Nigel) denied he had it parked against the door SMH never will I ever recommend service at this place God awful!!

It took a week and a half to diagnose the car. Their fee for diagnostics 139 an hour. Storage is 25 a day so for nothing my fee was over 500. Please find another place!!!!

Literally have fixed my 2003 BMW SEVERAL times and have done it in a timely manner, been very professional, pricing is very reasonable and they have fixed the issue the first time! High recommend them for all cars and services! I really appreciate y'all!

N.E.N has gained a new customer with me! Was referred by a coworker and by far best referral I could have gotten. Being new to the area and state as a whole i dreaded the thought of finding a honest trustworthy mechanic like the one I left back home in Virginia. Been here a couple times and can say everytime I've drove off their lot, I have a new gained confidence and safety feel in my vehicle.
