Today, 8/7/23, I was serviced by Dr. Jodi Heath. I was very pleased with the services received. I'll definitely return thanks to her professionalism, patience, good listening skills and her genuine concern for me.

The hardest part is making an appointment. I needed to see a doctor because I thought my son had a virus, but it ended up being covid. They said his doctor was on vacation for Thanksgiving. I asked to see another doctor and they said no. They told me they can make an appointment for their Dunwoody office. I said no. It's at least a 45 minute drive to the Perimeter, not including all the construction in that area, and they could not find an office for me to go to in Gwinnett County. Are they that busy? I went to Urgent Care.

Poor customer service. ?? Never come here! Staff is rude, unprofessional, and does not accommodate their patients. I was looking for a new primary care physician, and needed a follow up after having COVID. I was able to schedule a late appointment here with customer service (I need late appointments due to my work schedule) The CS Rep searched, and this appointment was CLEARLY available in the system, at THIS location.A couple of hours after making the appointment & planning my day, Teresa from this office calls me to reschedule it. Trying to get me to come early in the morning. Claiming the CS rep made an “error” scheduling the appointment, because the doctor is not in that late. Bullcrap. Your office is open at 3, and the appointment was available. That’s why it was scheduled. The rep did not make a mistake! You’re calling to reschedule it, cause the doctor doesn’t want to stay that late! Maybe she made other plans? Forgot to take the time slot off the availability schedule? Nevertheless, That’s the doctor, or this office the that made the mistake! Don’t play in my face! And instead of being accommodating and pleasant, (because i clearly need the appointment) she was rude, and completely unapologetic. It took me an hour to make that appointment, and by the time she called back, it was too late to get another one. Have to start again tomorrow, because I canceled the appointment all together, and will be finding a different office. Tactless & Unprofessional.

I emailed Dr. Safri on Dec 14 via Emory patient portal. For 2 weeks my correspondence sat unreviewed. After Christmas it was finally reviewed but crickets, nothing. 2 weeks ago I contacted the office... spoke with a woman with a foreign accent who argued with me that I did not send them an email... . She said that she is the one that reads the correspondence. I told her she missed this one, after giving her the date and that it had been reviewed but not acted on. 2 more weeks and nothing. I've been in a pain crisis, which the doctor knows about. On my last visit, the receptionist required that I use one of their masks over the two I already had on. I asked her why (there were others who did not have a surgical mask over their mask). She replied "you're in a clinical setting." I said, I have on 2 masks...I'm not doing a procedure on anyone.I noticed on a visit dead roaches in the hallway, which personnel repeatedly walked over. I saw them from my patient room, so why didn't they see them?I really like my doctor but front office personnel is messing the practice up.Still waiting...

This particular Emory location is a Joke!! Dr. Safari is my Primary Provider and the only Appointments she is conducting is via Zoom, so unacceptable! I am aware of the Pandemic we are experiencing, however; the Office should have different measures/practices in place OTHER than via Zoom. I have been experiencing Sinus and Allergies my entire life. I have had several Rapid and PCR Covid test, ALL have been negative! I informed the Office Manager my concerns and she insists that it’s the Providers discretion.. I will say this Practice needs to temporarily close if they’re afraid to assist their patients! The Office Manager and the front Rep. informed me to be seen at a Urgent care! I should NOT have to see a Provider w/a Urgent Care and spend more money because the Emory Practice doesn’t want to engage with their patients..

This office has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They are combative and rude and that’s unacceptable. I brought my child with me to my appointment and before I could even walk in the door good I was told I couldn’t bring her in. When I asked why wasn’t this told to me, she rudely says it’s in the text we send when in Fact there is NOTHING in the message that says that. And on top of that decided they are going to charge me $25 for cancellation, and when my spouse called she was told to dispute it when it comes in the mail. The nerve! Don’t waste your time here. And here’s the text

Emory... The name says it all from award winning, most sought after hospital in the state of GA and Country, best research hospital, etc. I can go on and on but we are discussing this location. I've been a patient at this practice 3yrs now. Dr. Tabassum Safari is one of the 4 doctors at the Lenora Church road location. The staff from the front desk to the nurses are all friendly, knowledgeable, patient , understanding professionals that are consistent on every visit. If you're uncertain about an appointment or insurance benefits, they will look into it and get you the answers. The office itself is nice and clean. Not very much decor in the lobby like most offices I've visited but it's nice. Several chairs spaced due to Covid precautions. 1 TV that's set on one channel more like an advertisement of Emory services. So a little something to ponder while waiting to be seen by your doctor The lab and exam rooms are typical nothing really special there. Parking lot is quite large .. I'd say at least 50 vehicles maximum including handicap parking. I do apologize for not taking more pics of the exam, lab and lobby areas but I will on the next visit. If you're looking for a Family Doctor, give Emory a try. There are several locations throughout the metropolitan area. Scheduling an appointment is easy and convenient. Most doctors are accepting new patients. One thing I love about Emory Healthcare is that everything is there. If you need a colonoscopy, it can be done there. Every visit, diagnosis, appointment, surgery, etc is in the portal. Your doctor is notified of every lab report and exam although he or she may not have done the procedure like a colonoscopy. It's pretty cool! It's a paper trail of your healthcare...Who wouldn't want that!

I had Dr Safri and I highly recommend her. She is very thorough and checks and asks all the details. When I called and asked for lab orders, she was nice about it and ordered more labs for me. You can tell she enjoys being the primary care physician and she makes sure to get all details and look at things thoroughly! Highly recommend her! :)

My wife and I have been patients of Dr Lightbournes for many years. My wife left the practice several years ago and I never understood why, until today. Michelle at the front desk is the worst!!! She should never be allowed to greet or even speak to patients ever again!!! Having to have a co-worker explain that "she didn't mean it that way", is a sign people! Theresa is the best, and always has been. Keep up the good work Theresa!!

Horrible.... Front desk is rude as could be. I was coming in as a new patient to get paperwork and Teresa was like it’s Covid /19 don’t be touching nothing we black you know “ I’m like what? Then she asked me to go to my car I’m like okay then as I was walking I could hear her tell the lady I don’t know what the hell wrong with these folks . I immediately asked for a manager and by surprise it’s her judging the reviews I guess it takes place often ... Your front desk needs to be fired ASAP

This office lies. I was told that shot records don't go in the system for 24 hours after the shots are given so I would had to come back to get his shot records. This is a lie. At my daughter's pediatrician we are given her shot records that same day when we check out. I was then told that I had to go to the Health Department to get my son's shot records because they couldn't find his older shot records in the system. I brought the copy that I had of his shot records to them and they said that they could not input them in the system and that the health department had to do it. When I got to the health department they told me that was a lie. The office could have done it at the doctor's office. So I spent 2 hours at the health department and had to pay the Health Department to get my child's shot records in the system so that he could attend school this year.I was also told by this same office at my last yearly physical not to ask any other questions to the doctor or I would be charged for a sick visit on top of the physical visit. So when my doctor during the visit asked if I had any other questions or concerns I said no because I didn't want to be charged twice for a visit.I was also told when I was in a car accident that they would not bill my medical insurance. I had to pay out of pocket $300 to see the doctor because they said "You will get that money back when I sue the people that hit you." I don't know why they assumed I would be suing someone for an accident. The doctor is super nice but we will be finding a new provider because the office is ridiculous.
