UPDATED REVIEW: They must be offering an incentive for positive reviews. I've lived here for 4 years now. The Alcove has been under new management since my previous post and RPM IS HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. THEY ARE CURRENTLY UNDERSTAFFED AND DO NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY TO FIX THINGS FOR ALMOST A MONTH.
1.To start, the turnover here is insane. Every other month people are quitting and new people come in and leave. They can't keep good people and I fear for the integrity of our security with so many different people having access to our apartments. Customer service is linked to a Florida number and that team has limited function/obsolete. Office staff sometimes leave before office hours are over. Office closes now during the week at 5:30 pm. Most people get off at 5 pm.
2. Towards the beginning of spring and into summer the Alcove had a horrible venomous snake issue. We residents spoke to the office about the snakes and snake holes surrounding our building and were told to "watch out." I had to call animal control to remove a snake from inside my apartment. Then almost stepped on one that had been hanging out on my doorstep. I had maintenance remove a snake that was near my apartment where I walk my small dog and my neighbors toddler plays often. My neighbors and I complained for a while and this was not an emergency for management, leaving children, adults, and pets vulnerable to being bitten. It took multiple visits for them to call pest control.
3. Our mailboxes were broken into mid July, not fixed for almost a month. I spoke to the leasing office & a representative from corporate in person to ask them to fix it. After 2 weeks I called. A customer service agent said that they would let the office know. Mailboxes were wide open with peoples mail in them and all over the ground in front for almost a month. All they needed to do was fix the locks. Neglect to protect our privacy and secure sensitive information.
4. The water heater in our upstairs neighbor's apartment busted and the water leaked from the ceiling into our apartment. We called maintenance to come fix it. Maintenance left a key to my door hanging out of the lock and left; there was no worker around when I came from work. On top of that they left the stain from the leak on the ceiling for months. *Thanks Hilmon for fixing that and having the holes in the wall repaired appropriately.
5. We've had to put in multiple requests for the same maintenance issues. Our fridge went out and they replaced it with a smaller fridge.
6. Lately we've had more break-ins and shady people around the apartments. Packages are going missing. We've had to create a buddy system with neighbors to bring our packages in so they aren't stolen, even installed cameras. Neighbors that I trust and have been here for years are leaving.
7. The manager told me that our amenities are only available during office hours. The access cards weren't working for a while for those of you who care about the gym.
8. Last but certainly not least, I recently had a death in the family and Grayson called me in the evening to discuss my lease renewal. I told him I had just had a death in the family and he still continued to ask me when I could sign the new lease because of something with their system. We had originally agreed to a 6 month lease and the quote was for the original amount of my current lease. Grayson sent me a 1 year lease by mistake and needed to update the lease for us to sign. After making funeral arrangements I tried to view the lease and realized the viewing system was skipping pages. I reached out to Grayson for remedy and he said that it must be my device. I've never had this issue before. I downloaded a copy of the lease from the resident portal and sent it to Grayson last night. Our rent is due on the 3rd and the quote provided for our rent is not available in the sy

Very very terrible when it comes to the maintenance team … especially the manger of it. Short white old man with glasses … I believe he’s racist … When you try and talk to him he always have his back turned and has a very smart mouth.. then it’s always new people getting hired .. don’t need randoms in my place

I currently live here and just recently transferred to a larger unit. The complex itself is wonderful, love it and have no complaints. However the transfer process with Mr. Grayson Burke was terrible and so stressful. Communication on his part was non existent the further we got into the transfer process. I had to follow up with him on my transfer versus it being the other way around for an entire month. Barely any answered emails, no returned phone calls for an entire month. Each time I heard back from him (which wasn’t often compared to the amount of times I had to call and email) it was as if I was bothering him when I was simply just attempting to get a much needed update on the current status of my transfer. We even ended up moving past my previous move out date because he didn’t let me know (until I walked in the leasing office) that the unit I was trying to transfer to wasn’t available yet and needed to wait a week after my previous lease was up to move into the new unit. I love that everyone else that left reviews on him had an amazing experience and I just wish that mine would’ve been the same considering I’ve lived in this community since August of 2023.

Online on the RPM residents portal it clearly says the gym is open 24 hours which played a major factor in why I moved in. Come to find out it’s not 24 hours and the hours are like 8-6:30 pm which does not work for someone who works normal business hours. When I brought it to the attention of the leasing office they simply shrugged their shoulders and basically said it’s a RPM issue.

I have lived in the Alcove for almost 4yrs and transferring to a larger apartment. Grayson did a great job with facilitating the transfer. Merry and the office staff as well as the Maintenance Crew are fantastic. I look forward to enjoying my new big apartment.

I'm a resident here at the Alcove and they have been really understanding when their residents face some life hardship. Even better they have supported me as a new entrepreneur by allowing me to sell my products on site to other residents. I really appreciate the support because my business has really been growing in sales! And this opportunity allows for other residents to earn income as a small business owners. Please be out on the watch for Radiant Vitality and Health products such as a thermal infused water bottle and fruit infusers!

There are so many wonderful and welcoming employees at the Alcove, but I'd like to highlight Mary in particular. Mary has been nothing but welcoming, amazing, and genuine. She has a lovely spirit, and the world needs more people like her. Mary is one of the many reasons I enjoy living here at the Alcove. Mr. Grayson Burke has been amazing as well, and he's one of the amazing workers within the Alcove community. Thanks to the Alcove, I feel at home!
