I've been going to Smyrna Nails for 9+ years. The staff is amazing and just like family. Of course, my favorite is my wonderful, amazing, awesome technician, Hannah! I travel far to get her to do my nails, but when you have someone awesome, the ride doesn't matter!

Went here for years and loved the service until the day that I was charged $99 for acrylic removal, a standard mani/pedi (with no polish!) and 10 min. massage. The money was not an issue, but after getting home and into the next days, my finger became infected from where they removed the acrylic too quick on that nail.
When it happened, she told me to put a bandaid on when I got home, which I did. But when it comes to even a drop of blood during a service like this, more should have been done, especially given the price I paid for basically nothing!
I used to recommend this salon to all of my local friends, but I simply cannot anymore: this experience left a very bad impression on me, especially after being a loyal customer for over two years.
I am very disappointed in how this situation happened and was treated.

My Second time, The Nail tech did okTHAI , ASIAN, women needs to STOP referring to Black women as being Skinny! Thai Asian Chinese Japanese Women come from a culture where they are very small in size! That word should never be address to Black women or any nationality especially when they are slim little women themselves. That can be used as being offensive to some people especially if that Not the intent and can be bothered at times. My natural nails are long because I eat healthy and Take care of myself!I respectfully ask that my nails NOT be cut down and just please add tips to natural nails and she commented! She commented that’s why you are so SKINNY and she sarcastically laugh,I said Thank you and same to you! That was rude to say that to a customer!Just imagine If a person was heavy!Would she say that why you so FATYou just never know about them at times and what will come out them their mouth! One minute they speak English and the next you just don’t knowThat why I prefer Black nail techsMay God bless 2024

The best in Cobb. Very accommodating with reasonable prices that won’t make you raise your eyebrows questioning the existence of the salon.

This is the second and last time I will be a customer. I've recently discovered gel manicures protect my nails from breaking back in March. I have been getting my nails detailed ever since. But this place messed up my experience. While trimming my cuticles the nail tech cut too deep on like 3 fingers. I felt a pinch but had my eyes closed. She got my attention and my thumb was leaking blood. She stopped it. Proceeded to finish the manicure. The first time, I was impressed and it made me come back. After this last time I'm done. She cut me and looked at me like it was my fault. Saying it was my dry skin after my fingers have been soaking in water for about 5mins. The highest I've paid since I've started this nail care journey. It's over with as far as this establishment goes.

If I could leave zero stars I would. My husband called to check the availability of this salon. We were told to come within 10 minutes we were only five minutes away so that was no problem. I asked for a short French manicure full set and the nail tech started to speak in her native language loudly to the other women in the shop. Another woman comes over and I ask, if a full set is okay and while one lady said sure the other lady said, it would be too close to closing time. Though when I walked in she acknowledged my husband and I asked if we were the couple that called...there was still time for a full set as it was just after 6 PM and the closing time is 7 PM. As they went back and forth in front of me, I politely excused myself and told them I would just get my nails done tomorrow. As I got up to leave one of the women asked if I wanted to come back tomorrow to which I told them, I would absolutely not be returning to this place. A lazy and rude establishment will never get a nickel of my money! We found another salon just a few minutes ago called Pro Nails on 4691 South Atlanta Road! I was greeted immediately and the shop is much cleaner and more polished!

As a brand new client I appreciated how Smyrna Nails fixed a broken nail. They suggested I try SNS powder versus gel, since it was more durable. They quoted me a price of $40 and we agreed that I would choose a neutral color since it would be more if I wanted the white tip (American manicure). The technician started off very friendly, explaining the process as she went along. I was considering returning to Smyrna Nails because things started out well and the environment was very pleasant. However, 2 things caused me to change my mind.As a new customer who would likely get her nails done every 2 weeks @ a cost of $80 - $100 per month ($960-$1200 annually for the business) plus tips for the technician, Smyrna Nails lost out on potential revenue. I'm an entreprenuer so I understand the CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost). When you have a brand new customer, the goal is to build a repeat client. By failing to recognize the value of the person sitting in front of you and rushing off to the next client prior to completing the service, they lost me as someone who was considering Smyrna Nails as a great place to get my nails done. These two things were non-negotiable for me1) An intial price was quoted ($40) as long as I didn't get the American manicure, which I didn't. The final price was $50 with no reasonable explanation of the $10 difference2) The technican who was providing my service left to serve a new customer before I was complete. My nails were still wet, the residue from the powder was still on my hands and she just instructed me to wait until my hands were dry then went to the new customer. Another technician turned the fan on for me to facilitate drying. My hands still had the residue but since my technican had already walked away, the other technician put oil on my fingers, showed me where to wash my hands and pointed to the lotion on the window sill for me to put on myself. When someone walks into your business and you didn't have to spend advertisng dollars to acquire this new customer, the potential profit for retaining that customer is wonderful because the cost to acquire the customer was nominal. But today, Smyrna Nails lost my business and the other potential clients I might have referred to them.I'm accustomed to a different level of service and I definitely will not be back!Services: Polish removal
