I was a member of LGE for over 14 years. But for the past several years I had switched to using Georgia's Own as my primary financial institution. When I switched I had left several hundred dollars still in my savings and checking account at LGE for a "rainy day". Imagine my surprise (and my disdain) when I went to close my account only to discover that LGE had stolen my money from my account in the form of charging me an "inactivity fee". This is something I would expect Bank of America to to. Certainly Wells Fargo. Maybe even Truist! But a credit union? I have been using credit unions for over 30 years and this is the first credit union I have encountered that has the balls to charge an inactivity fee to its members. So be warned before you sign up an account here. LGE is more like a bank than a credit union in many ways, and do yourself a favor and check out Georgia's Own where at least they treat you like a member instead of a mark.

I had a great experience working with Rebecca Murray at LGE. She helped me get my motorcycle loan and was an invaluable resource providing advice and guidance throughout the entire process. I would 100% recommend working with her and plan to continue working with her in the future.

Believe the reviews. Better yet. Google the employee names. I was wondering why these people were so rude and lacking of customer service skills. Until I was harassed and taunted by an employee. I searched her name and found many complaints about her being racist. I been with Lge for a very long time. I was just putting up with them. But I’m definitely taken my money elsewhere. Don’t bank here if ur a brown person.

Went in for assistance with my dad’s account after he passed away. Terrible service. I would bank so many places before ever trusting LGE with my finances.

Banked with for year. Recently questionable lending practices have me moving to another institution. Applied for a loan and was quoted a significantly higher interest rate based on an erroneous equifax beacon score they quoted to me. I was asked to call equifax and ensure nothings changed, I did and they confirmed my score was in the excellent category. The rep at LGE refused to do a 3 way call with Equifax to proof it, and was attempting to charge me a rate over 2 points higher than what they promoted. I provided screen shots and every attmept to resolve. Unfortunate to see a credit union begin making decisions like that of a bank.

I got this to be my first credit union bank but it's not the best for me. I instead have another popular credit union that works way better for me. Wasn't able to open an checking account and only got a savings account went them. Due to that I don't get a debit card or anything. Also the hours are not ideal. They close around 5pm and not open on the weekend. Decided to close this account due to not being able to do anything with this account.

The new tellers arent very friendly, and they don’t seem to have knowledge about helping customers. I came in with an acceptance letter for a loan and the teller couldn’t seem to figure it out, and kept asking someone else for help. In the end Rebecca helped us out though, I’ve seen here before there and she was very nice.

very rude employees. Called to confirm a transaction on my account from a payment I made earlier today. The lady was rude to begin with. She talked over me the whole time. I work in customer service myself. I work for a prestige company and would never talk to my customers the way she talked to me. She asked a whole bunch of verification questions which I answered. It wasn't like I was trying to make a transaction or anything, I had already done that. Then she asked where I work? Like really, never have I had that as a verification question. That's like the dumbest verification question ever. I've worked in so many places since I opened my account with LGE many years ago. So exactly what should be my answer? A list of my work history. Whoever came up with that as a verification question should be fired for real! I was still explaining to her how im not sure how to answer that question or even where to start from, she said some stuff and hung up on me. And I'm like... wait a damn minute! I bank with you with my own money and you treat me this way? ... okay LGE. This is really not the first time I've been treated like this by you guys but it sure will be the last time. Thank you guys!

I have been going to this branch ever since I moved to Smyrna from Woodstock. The branch is always friendly, clean, and helpful. My best experience has definitely been Terry as she recently helped me with my loan options. I originally came in to get a principal loan to boost my credit score, then weeks later got into a severe car accident and needed loans to help pay bills and catch up from missed work. When I first came in Terry politely went over all my options and persuaded me to consider them and wait and I am very thankful I did. When I came in the second time, she went over all of my options again and helped me get approved for the maximum amount and best option for me. She also went above and beyond by going over my banking information that I didn't even ask about! She is a great banker and contributor to this branch.

I have worked with Terry Mays for about the last 3 weeks on a situation that I got myself into and she was the most patient and thoughtful person ever. She took lost of time to go over all the layers of my problem and find the best solutions. We got everything resolved and finalized. LGE has been my bank for a long time now and I truly appreciate everything they and Terry did.
