Our dogs Roxie and Rosie have been seeing Dr Rox for probably 10 years now. She is very thorough, her documentation is meticulous, and if she doesn’t know the answer she has many resources to get the right information. (We have had some very complicated issues.) Dr Rox makes safe and evidenced based recommendations. In 10 years there have been communication mistakes regarding appointment times/dates, prescription refills, etc but it’s only occasionally and at the end of the day we know that Dr Rox and the staff at Arkle really care about our babies. Any miscommunication was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. Dr Rox has spent hours with us over the years making sure that we know how to take care of the pups. When we worked with a rescue and had to take our foster to another vet for price/discounts, we could definitely tell other vets don’t take the time like Dr Rox does.

This was our first time at Arkle because we wanted to find a clinic that took pet insurance which they did. Dr Rox and her team did an amazing job of taking care of Roxie and making her feel comfortable. They took their time explaining what was going on and some of the recommendations I should start doing . I would definitely recommend The Arkle team if you are looking for a new place.

Never going back.
1. Submitted appt. request online on a *Monday*. Tried calling twice during the week, no answer. Nothing confirmed til *Friday.*
2. Arrived right on time. Was placed in a room for at least 10 minutes, possibly 15 minutes until tech came in.
3. I was informed Dr. Rox is a great cat vet, but that day I would be seeing someone else.
4. During the intake, I was suggested a battery of tests, which is draining. $55 here, $38 there, $380 there. I initially declined the blood test for $380. Like, I was there for education on blood tinged stool and possibly pillow paw. Why pitch me all these other things?
5. Vet comes in suggests multiple tests, specifically the $380 blood test. I feel pressured (admittedly they said I could decline) but I approved it anyways after declining it first with the tech.
She also recommended future teeth cleaning, future ultrasound, possibly internal medicine consult, etc etc etc.
6. The vet questioned multiple times if my assessment was correct. "He doesnt seem to be limping." I told her I tried scheduling last week so there's been been some time. And it's a rare but recurring issue. That it's been worse. She googled a picture, and showed me THE WORST CASE, which is not my cat's problem. He just seems to have mild pillow paw. I don't know. That's why I was there.
7. My cat was larthargic and out of sorts for two days after the visit. I would guess that it was the deworming, blood draw, and stress, all of which was unnecessary.
8. Can you believe I was there for 2 hours? Most of the time was sitting in the waiting room with my cat. For what?
9. The vet said my 10.3 lb cat was overweight and his ideal weight is 8.25lb. Really? REALLY? You can feel his ribs and he has no panus hanging down. My long time vet was concerned he was losing weight. He used to be 12 lbs. He's been 10.3 lbs since 2019.
Overall, I was hoping not to experience what I experienced 1.5 years ago at another vet which was an inconclusive, "his blood is alright! yay" and a bill for $600+ with no additional education nor an answer to his recurring swollen (alternating) paw.
The conclusion of our visit: A $637 bill and a clean blood test result with no further education than I had beforehand. He still has a limp from a swollen paw and occasional blood-tinged stool.
Poor experience all around.
We were rec'd by Good Dog down the street. They said Arkus was awesome with cats. Well, we didnt see Dr Rox, so it definitely did not rock at all.

This was our first visit & the team at Arkle couldn’t have been nicer or more professional. Dr Rox took all the time needed to examine Jimmy, address any concerns I had & make recommendations for his overall health going forward. I’m thankful I was able to find a practice that is still independently owned to treat our dogs.

I’ve been taking my cat to this vet for maybe 2 years. My cat had an appointment this afternoon, which meant me taking off work as well as having to give my cat medication that totally calms her to the point that it’s sad and she can’t walk straight. I arrive in time for my appointment to be told that someone rescheduled it 2 days prior to my actual appointment. I did not reschedule the appointment, someone on their team changed my appointment time without consulting me, and then never informed me that they changed my appointment. This is a sad experience because the staff was very friendly, but it’s completely unprofessional to change a client’s appointment date/time without speaking to them. Now my cat is heavily medicated for no reason. I will be finding a new vet.

It was VERY important that Winston our senior doggy have a good experience! He was behind on everything, not his fault but ours... The technician said, just like your pet, we don't judge ???? Winston's exam and test went well, no heartworm praise the Lord. Now he's all caught up! Both the Technician and Veterinarian and Veterinarian Assistant were excellent and caring!

Pretty pricey for the customer service & quality of service we receive. I have been going here for a few years now mostly for the convenience but looking to switch due to consistent sub-par service.

All of the staff at Arkle are wonderful and nice. They all take their time when seeing you/your pet and are very thorough with their care. They have been there when we needed them quickly when our pup got into something or for our annual check ups - every time is a great experience.

I spend more on my dog's health care than my own but the amount of time the vet spent with my pet was very long and thorough. I would highly recommend them and will be back.
