I had to have a biopsy and I was nervous. But overall from start to finish it was virtually painless. Everyone was kind and explained everything to me before they did anything.

I had a wonderful experience! I was called back for my mammogram very quick and I had such a nice and knowledgeable technician! I can't remember her name but she was great!

Everyone was nice and so helpful. I came on the wrong day because the date and day were written down for me wrong so they worked it out because I had to go back to work. Fast, efficient, and friendly!

I was very disappointed in the care I received on 7 Aug. I had a stereo tactic biopsy done and bled extensively. I was asked over and over again if I was on blood thinners or baby aspirin. I entered on my pre-op paperwork and told Dr Knopf and the 2 technicians (Aaron and Jasmin) and the pre-op nurse (I’m not sure but was either Rebecca or Joann) that I’ve never been on blood thinners and had been taken off baby aspirin years ago because I bruise so easily. However, I bled profusely and was released to go home. I didn’t know how bad I was bleeding till the next morning when my bra and nightgown had blood all over them. I called Candler Telfair and left a message for Aaron or Jennie (who I had had phone contact with before my procedure). RN Jennie was the one who returned my call. Told me I could come back into Savannah (I live in Hinesville) or go to my local ER or to my local doctor. This was in the middle of Tropical Storm Debbie and really didn’t feel like battling the storm again. I finally got in touch with a retired RN friend of mine here in Hinesville who came over and saw me. She bound me with ACE bandages. At that time, Jennie called again and asked how I was feeling. Told her I had a RN here with me. Jennie asked if I’d been bound with ACE bandage when I left the hospital. I told her I hadn’t and she was surprised because she’d been told by Aaron that I was bleeding extensively when I was released. Jennie said she would have bound me before releasing me. My RN friend, Martha bound me tightly and saw me again that evening when she redid the bindings. I bled for almost 2 1/2 weeks. Jennie did call me again on the 9th to check on me and I told her about the bleeding. It wasn’t as bad as the days after the biopsy but still enough that I had to keep gauze on my breast until this past Sunday (25 Aug) when the small pad and large tape finally came off.
I feel that something wasn’t done correctly during the procedure. Perhaps a small vein was hit or something. All I know is this was excessive bleeding and I suffered because of it. Marion Carter

The staff were friendly and very nice, it did take longer than usual to get finished. I was quite cold back in the waiting area once I changed into the white robe. I felt cold and miserable until I was able to change back into my own clothes. I feel like the air conditioner was set at a very low temperature and was not comfortable for me!

I was seen on time. Both procedures were explained to me. After a short wait the results were given to me in private. All in all it was a wonderful experience for a stressful visit.

I go to the Telfair Pavilion each year for my mammogram! They are wonderful! The space is so nice and the wait time has diminished with the 2 areas now open. I’ll see you guys next year!

A little difficult getting signed in but the mammogram went great and the lady doing my mammogram was very good! She was excellent and made me feel comfortable.
