Taylor and Dr Woods were so kind and genuinely concerned for my cat. They advised me to travel to University of Florida to get more testing and information. Their informed advice saved my cats life. If not for the team SVIM, I would have lost my Gertrude sooner than I would have preferred.
Taylor called to check on us a few days after they diagnosed my cat, simply to check in. It truly means a lot to have a whole office rooting for the well being of your four legged family member.

I feel extremely comfortable with my cat here. Everyone is not only extremely knowledgeable and able to explain all of the intricacies to a non-expert, but they are so kind and comforting. I was scared consistently for two weeks not knowing what might be happening with my anemic cat, but Dr. Woods was able to put me at ease by assuring me he had dealt with hundreds of cases like this before. Whats even better? The treatment finally started to work!! I highly recommend going here if your pet is having internal issues, because they will know what to do.

We recently became patients of SVIM earlier this year when we thought my Lab had CKD. After his primary vet sent us back to Dr. Woods for a second exam, Dr. Woods discovered that he actually has Addison's Disease. He immediately got us started on treatment and even worked through the weekend to get his medication called in on a Saturday while we were out of town so we could start it quickly. We've already noticed positive changes in our dog and we're so thankful for Dr. Woods and his team for helping us solve the mystery and begin treating the last year+ of abnormal kidney values.

I highly recommend Savannah Veterinary Internal Medicine for your needs of a specialist. I have been a vet tech at UGA vet school many years ago and a RN for 32 years. This practice exemplifies true caring and dedication to your animal’s needs. I truly believe Dr Woods and his dedicated team helped save my 12 year old German Shorthaired Pointer last week. She had a partial bowel blockage after breaking into a kitchen cabinet and consuming 48 pieces of candy including the cellophane wrappers. My appointment was late afternoon and at first we planned to treat her the following morning but then Dr Woods told me he and his team were staying to do her endoscopy. It was a long and very tedious process to remove each and every wrapper - but they did ! The staff was very gracious snd caring after already working a full day. It was late evening when they completed her procedure and still stayed with us to be sure she was ok to come home that night. I was very worried and concerned about a senior dog undergoing anesthesia and a long procedure but I knew I was in very competent hands. Daisy is back to her regular sweet and crazy self that only a GSP owner understands. She will celebrate her 12th birthday in one week. And I owe so much gratitude to this practice for making that happen.

I am just getting started on his treatment plan; I don't have all of his medicines yet, but already, because of one of the medicines he is taking , there is such an improvment, he is eating again, I can tell that he feels so much better, his little tail is wagging again for the first time in a long time. I was very scared and sad , not knowing what to do. But now I have a lot of hope, I believe Dr. Woods can give him his life back which gives me my life back. My little dog is everything in the world to me. I felt really good about coming to your clinic. Everyone treated me wonderfully there.

Dr. Woods is very caring and takes time explaining his findings and recommendations. He also does not take advantage of customers and only does what he deems necessary.

It was such a relief to bring my 16 year old pup, Haley, to Dr. Woods. Haley had stopped eating and I thought that we might lose her. When we arrived, I was impressed that Dr. Woods had already read all of her records which were extensive. He did a detailed ultrasound and thoroughly explained the results. He asked a lot of questions and was able to figure out Haley’s intestinal issues that our regular vets hadn’t been able to diagnose. I am so appreciative of his knowledge and the incredible care he offered Haley. We are a month past our visit and Haley is doing so much better and back to walking 2 miles per day.

Two months ago, my 14-year-old dog began vomiting and suffering from diarrhea. I took him to a local veterinarian in Jesup, but they did not change his treatment or help him get better. For TWO months my pet was miserable. They told me that my dog most likely had cancer and I should consult with an internal medicine veterinarian in Jacksonville. When my co-worker told me there was an internal medicine veterinarian in Savannah, I was delighted to find Dr. Woods. In addition to being in the area, he was able to confirm that my pet did not have cancer, he did not recommend euthanasia, and he was able to make my fur baby feel better within DAYS of seeing him. His knowledge of the field is evident, and you can tell he is passionate about his patients. Dr. Woods spent over an hour in the room with me developing a treatment plan. Dr. Woods goes above and beyond for his patients. He always checks on his patients, even on his off days. Whenever I need him, I feel as if he is just a phone call away. I can send an email/give an update and get peace of mind immediately. I completely trust him. He is very personable, thorough, and patient. I never feel as if he gets annoyed that I call or write him so often because I am worried. Dr. Woods is very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable! He saved my dog. Although I know I have an older dog and my days with him are limited, at least now he is comfortable and does not suffer anymore.
