Literally the rudest people I have ever seen behind a counter. They have a small selection of bourbon, even some allocated stuff.
When asked how much EHT SB I was surprised by a snobby answer by the guy working there and quoted $400… for Small Batch. The guy working the counter should not have a customer service job. Period.
No wonder the bottles are covered in dust

I’ve never written a review before, and am by no means a Karen, but the employee/owner with the man bun had the most snobby, rude and sarcastic attitude. I’ve literally never been treated that way at a store before. I was really excited to buy some new drinks I’ve never tried, and was prepared to buy a basket full but after that encounter, I just walked out.

I recently visited this and had an incredibly disappointing experience. As an African American, I feel compelled to share my encounter. The person behind the counter, who I assume is the owner, was shockingly rude and unwelcoming. Not only were there no prices displayed for most items except cigars, but when I asked about them, I was met with sarcastic and dismissive responses. When my husband inquired about the cost of a cigar lighter, he was initially quoted $10 or $20, but it rang up at $25. Moreover, when he mentioned opening a can outside the store, my husband didn’t hear him due to the disrespectful tone and lack of clear communication. It’s disheartening to encounter such behavior, especially in a place of business. I strongly advise against supporting this establishment. Respect and humility should be fundamental values upheld by all businesses. I sincerely hope the management takes steps to address these issues, as such attitudes have no place in our community. Potential customers should be aware of the treatment they may receive here.

Just passed because I saw there cigar collection and had to try. The gentleman recommended a leaf that I'm familiar with and tasted very smooth.

Ask the prices before you buy. No prices listed on the bottles in the shelf behind the counter. I asked what a bottle cost and the guy wasn't very friendly and looked it up. I asked if I could see the bottle and he asked why. Really? He told me the price was $1200. Holly cow. Secondary prices and then some. I have much better service at other liquor stores in the area.

Ummmm....No! Small store, smug employee and highly overpriced. Wanted $60 for Buffalo Trace....come on man! $28....I can see maybe asking $35'ish....but $60? Rip off.

Vile- owner owes me over a 100k - won’t be a man and pay it back even though it’s impacted not just me but my daughter. The guy is simply awful- pours money into cars- opening up restaurants, alcohol, cigars while I work non- stop to make up what he stole- please don’t purchase anything from this storeEdit****following my review the owner had his attorney Catherine Bolger threaten me with defamation. I stand by my review. No the owner didn’t come into my home and “steal” thousands rather I loaned him the money when he was at risk of losing property to tax sales. In exchange he agreed to pay my mortgage until the home was paid off. He did not make payments they were ALWAYS late- often allowing the home to go into foreclosure, ruining my credit- keeping me from even selling and purchasing a new home. It just goes on and on. This is the truth- he hasn’t paid me back and quite frankly no amount of money would make up for the damage he has done.

Nice selection for a small place. Really impressed by Cory and Dom. They made it seem as if I was in my neighborhood store. Even got me to try barbecue whiskey which was surprisingly good. Not what I expected at all. We will definitely be back.

The first couple of times, we went to procure drinks during our stay in Savannah and had 0 problems with the pricing or selection even though it is a smaller shop. This time around, the same bottles we had purchased in prior years had been marked up by $20, with the shoddy excuse that they raise their prices if the distillery does. I found out shortly thereafter that there has been no large increase on margin if you go to literally any other liquor store in Savannah, and they will be a much more convenient location than being down on River St.Overall, this was the third and last time I will go to this liquor store as they have clearly decided to charge what they want per other recent reviews. I hope their price gouging is worth it because they won't be keeping any customers with that mentality. I strongly advise anyone looking to get a bottle to go anywhere else because they will flat out lie to your face rather than admit they want to charge more because it is a tourist hotspot.
