Pete and Ricky in the SAV terminal and Vinny and Jeff in the POM terminal are excellent to work with. I do NOT have a commercial account and as such, needed to ship my broken Suzuki DF150 Outboard Motor Lower Unit to Pompano Beach, FL to Outboard Wizards, LLC for replacement. Pete asked me to drive to the SAV terminal to drop off my Lower Unit, Ricky helped me get it out of my car, put it on a pallet, shipped it to the POM terminal and then onto Outboard Wizards, LLC to get it replaced. Then in the POM terminal, Vinny and Jeff worked with Outboard Wizards, LLC to get my replacement Lower Unit put on another pallet and shipped back up to the SAV terminal so that I could drive to the SAV terminal and pick it up. Not being in the Freight industry, the exceptional help of all of the folks at ODFL is very much appreciated. I would HIGHLY recommend ODFL for other folks.

Travis Young delivered my shipment yesterday and did a fantastic job, was very personable and helpful. The community I live in has many rules that cause some folks to have to jump through hoops to just get to our house. Since he’s delivered here a lot he just went with the flow and got here on time! He is a great ambassador for Old Dominion! Thank you Travis!

These folks are solely in it for the bucks. My wife had to go out to GA to bury her Dad and settle his affairs. There were some sentimental items that we wanted to ship back home to WA. These guys wanted over $3400 to ship less than 300lbs of sentimental items. That’s fine and I understand that is their right on how to conduct business, but when I asked them for local freight/shipping options, they would not provide anything. In fact, they just stopped communicating. They opted not to provide any information to help us out during this difficult time. You’re a class act Old D!

Very unprofessional. I ordered a treadmill which was scheduled for delivery on Tuesday May 5th. Their initial call to my cell phone on Thursday late was missed. I called them back on Friday, ostensibly to set a delivery window. They told me 8-5. That isn't a window. It's a day. They never called me back with a more narrow time. They delivered the machine on Tuesday. However, the driver refused to remove the two wooden pallets it was attached to. I ordered a treadmill, not pallets. I have never seen any other delivery company leave the pallets on site at residential delivery location. If you are considering a freight company, and don't want to alienate your customer base, avoid this company.

They called 3 times on a Monday morning between 9:22am and 9:27am. I was in an important corporate office meeting and didn't know who it was but was concerned with the continuous calls in a short period of time. I stepped out to take it and they were merely calling to SCHEDULE a delivery. Had they maybe been trying to deliver something and had an immediate need to call multiple times, it would make sense. I explained to the man on the phone I was in the middle of a meeting and they had called numerous times in a 5min span and he laugher, "at least we are persistent".....More professionalism would be nice. Leave a message and I will call you back in 30mins when my meeting is over. Scheduling a delivery does not need to be done in a 5min. window. Professional Courtesy!
