This is my favorite, and I must stop visiting whenever I'm in Savannah. One of my favorite dishes to make at home is Africa Okro Stew & Fufu. So when I need authentic African items for my dish(s), this place is a must on the list.

I’ve been trying to find an international market and I’m glad I’ve one in Savannah where I can get specialty cooking items that was referred to me by my cousin called Okey Tropical Market. Great finds ?

I visited recently and I'm glad I was able to find what I needed like plantain fufu and yam. The store was full of other items I benefited from also. Great place to know about.

What I liked most about my visit was the manners of the young man working behind the counter that day. I found them online and went in looking for Scotch Bonnet peppers for a Haitian dish. Coming from SOFLO, I was completely shocked to find that the peppers they did carry were frozen and 3 times as expensive as I would have paid at home for that same amount. You can't use a debit card for purchases under $10 so I had to buy other things that were too expensive in order to use my card. I discovered quickly as I looked around that even though they advertise Carribean products, if you don't mean fish then you are out of luck. They didn't have cloves or olive oil. Those are staples in Carribean foods. This store is much more like an African Market. When I got home and used the expensive peppers I was very disappointed. They were not spicy at all. I'm glad the store is here serving the community it was meant for but some of the prices are much to high for what you get in return and it severely lacks Carribean food staples. No Olive Oil???

I love this place because they have so many varieties of African food stuffs at affordable prices. The owner is very friendly and nice too. I highly recommend it.

I visited this location out of curiosity, and it's a nice convenient shop, with goods in it. I know where to come next time for my oxtail seasoning. They also sell some really great coco butter cream. The manager here was very nice and showed great service. I recommend you visit here, or just look around you may find something you need.
