Beautiful architecture in the hotel with a decor that is reminiscent of a time gone by
Walkability: The hotel is in the heart of historic downtown Savannah and has a variety of attractions and eateries

Our second time staying here (first time was July 2023) will most definitely not be returning. We had such a great experience the first time we visited that we couldn’t wait to come back but this time book a room with a French balcony. Like before check in was smooth, parked across the street in the parking deck and all was well. Mind you our first stay was amazing so we had a baseline of expectations to be met with by coming back.
But here is why we won’t be returning. The bed is hard as a rock, the pillows were queen size (for a king size bed) stiff and lumpy as if they’re old, our towels had a stain of I don’t know what on them, and the overall feel of the room was not clean. But the biggest problem which set off the mood for the remainder of the stay is the fact not only can you hear your neighbors walking around, we heard them doing other activities no one wants to have to hear. The walls are PAPER THIN. Mind you being from atl the sound of the music, cars, etc is something we are used to and can tune out but this was so off putting.
We spent nearly $1,000 for a two night stay and it did not even feel slightly worth it. The last night I couldn’t even sleep because the bed is so uncomfortable. And for the price there also should be something better than single ply for toilet paper. The only good things this time around is having Huey’s right outside & the pretty sunset we saw. Otherwise a terrible stay and we will not be returning.

What a great hotel! Beautiful Savannah charm, and updated to have modern touches. The bathroom was nicely done, and there was a little balcony overlooking the city. There was a little fridge, plus a safe in the closet. There's Valet parking available or parking across the street. Only issue we had was our TV didn't work, but everything else was great. Would definitely stay here again!!!
Rooms: Clean and updated
Nearby activities: Around everything!
Safety: You need the key to use the elevator so there's no Randoms walking around.
Walkability: Around everything
Food & drinks: Close to whatever you're looking for
Noteworthy details: Beautiful location

Wonderful stay. Charming old timey rooms with modern touches. Greatly enjoyed their afternoon beverage and snacks. Loved the location which was convenient to many good restaurants. The staff was friendly, and helpful. Would love to stay here again.

Very cool historic hotel in a great location. Our room was beautiful. My only complaint is that the floor in our room was really dirty and there was no maintenance or management to handle it that evening so we just had to wear shoes the entire time in the room.
Rooms: Beautifully decorated with a cute little balcony. Very romantic. Bathroom was nice too

Pros:
- Really nice location and hotel, boutique vibe, beautiful
- River view room was great, especially seeing the boats come and go in the morning
- Stay came with discounts at some nearby places and a happy hour each day
Cons:
- My biggest complaint and why we give 3 stars would be the surprise $30/day "resort fee". I asked if they are a resort and was told "no, but it's something hotels have been doing since covid". Well it's not covid anymore and as someone who travels for a living, hotels aren't randomly charging resort fees... unless maybe at an all inclusive you know... resort. Sort of annoyed us. Who wants a hidden fee? Possibly it was just how we booked didn't have it listed, but be aware.
- 45/day parking seems a bit steep, but you are on river street..
Rooms: We stayed in a riverside room. It was small but not too small for what we would need. Great view of the river and everything going on below.
Walkability: Right on river street and nearby to a lot of great restaurants and bars
Food & drinks: Recommend booking a dinner reservation at the Pink House, only a 5 min walk away and food/drink/atmosphere is amazing

Stayed there for a concert in April. Lovely hotel and great location. HOWEVER, a $30 per day convenience fee was charged!!! Until we checked in, I was unaware of this extra fee and by then it was too late to change hotels. The day before we checked out $200+ was charged on my account, not pending, charged. When we checked out, after 2 nights, I was told there was an issue with my charges, but was not provided with a statement of the charges. They did refund some of the @200 charge. I'm still not sure what the "convenience fee" is for? We self parked, not valet,. Had no maid service while we were there, no room service, did not eat or drink at the hotel.......it's purely a "because we can" charge!

Let’s start with the cons:
- Not sure about the river view rooms, but the city view room was DARK. They have lamps but they don’t do much at all.
- Spooky vibe to the point where it’s unsettling and you don’t sleep comfortably
- Depending on what you’re looking for, it’s definitely an older crowd staying here
- Valet is $45/day and not really another option for parking
- Gym is dinky
- Shower isn’t great
Pros:
- They have a guest reception every evening from 5-7 with free drinks and refreshments
- Location is ideal
- Bed was comfortable
- Bathroom was nice
Overall I wouldn’t stay here again.

Be very careful dealing with any website selling rooms for this place. We leveraged a third party service to get a reservation. When we arrived, we were told that it was overbooked and I should have been told it was cancelled. I was basically given a number and told good luck to get a refund and get a another room somewhere else. I later called and talked with accounting and that service was even worse. Was basically told it was not their fault and it was on me to jump through these hoops. Ended up going to rounds with my credit card company to get them to issue a credit (took over 2 months and countless hours). I have stayed in many boutique hotels and have never experienced this level customer service in my life.

Love this hotel especially our Happy Hour Bartender Extraordinaire David! This hotel provides guests with complimentary beverages and appetizers from 5-7 daily. It was a great opportunity to meet other guests, sit on the porch and watch the containers ships go bye and unwind. David ran around tirelessly every evening making sure every guest had drinks, food and clean tables. He was a one-man welcoming committee and by far the most memorable part of our stay. In addition, our room on the 5th floor was perfect. We reserved the two-queen city view room. Great sunlight, walking distance to everything and included daily maid service! As a note, be sure to request the 4th or 5th floor if you have a city view because the third floor faces a retaining wall. Another nice feature was they have an elevator to River Street in the hotel which is great for anyone with difficulty getting around. The gym was small but clean and well appointed. The front desk was very accommodating and looked over our luggage after we checked out since our plane was late. Also, the beds and pillows were perfect and the room darkening shades allowed for the perfect night's sleep! I will definitely be visiting again.
Walkability: You can walk everywhere
Food & drinks: Have brunch next door at Two Cracked Eggs

River street inn made our vacation in Savannah…. Nicole, Halle and Anthony went out of their way for us! Our valets, Brice, Darren, Chris, Sam and John gave us tips on restaurants, historic sites and surrounding areas. We’ve never seen a crew like this! Jim and Sharon

Located along River St. This means if you have a river facing room, there could be loud cars and music all night. For our stay, a car with loud bass parked
outside and rattled our room all night. Felt like we got a room over a club. Talked to staff, and got a “Sorry, nothing we can do about it.” Saw cop drive by, they didn’t care.
They charge you $30 for a “resort fee”, that gets you the sadness happy hour is the smallest room. Then claim you can get discounts at the restaurants in the hotel.
Parking is valet for $45, or you can park across the street in the garage for $20.
If you come to Savannah for the history, and not to party, this is NOT the hotel for you.
