I never had such a horrible experience at a Marriott hotel. This Fairfield inn was the worst. #1: they denied my husbands service dog even though we showed her his service dog ID number and document!! LEGALLY we aren’t required to show anything at all but it was 2am and we were exhausted from driving! We fought with her for over an hour about it because she said “the owner doesn’t like pets” A SERVICE DOG IS NOT A PET!She finally gave in and gave us the dirtiest hotel room I have ever seen!! It was filthy. My son literally vomited in the bed at night! The toilet would not FLUSH! It was disgusting! I then requested a refund and she said ok… but a week later NO REFUND. And they actually charged me $20 more than what they told me the total was originally. They charged me $176 for nothing but hassled and filth!!!

Room was extremely unsanitary. Roaches in the bathroom. Trash from the previous guest. AC did not work properly. Black Mold on the curtain. I would not have stayed here if I had any other choice but by the time I was checking in, it was far too late to go else where. Do not stay here.

Like with so many hotel reviews, it is difficult to get a "real" review as everyone's opinion is so subjective. This hotel is poorly maintained our room had several issues, both cosmetic and functional. Lights burned out, an extremely loud AC unit, and dated beat up furnishings. The service here is very subpar. The front desk consistently let unattended with a sign stating "we will be right back".... after a long flight just wanting to check in, that is the last thing you want in a hotel. The lady in charge of breakfast was the worst! Although she was efficient in keeping everything in order and refilled, she did it with no personality and huge attitude. The MINUTE breakfast was over she announced it rudely to a guest stating "breakfast is now over!" It was almost comical how rude she was. I don't need to be worshipped, but a little courtesy goes along way. It's amazing how staffs don't realize without guests, they would not have a job.I could on and on, but the bottom line is other than a good location this hotel should be on the bottom of your choices of hotels in Savannah.Rooms: Rooms are extremely dated and poorly maintained with little to no modern amenities.

I stayed 4 days @ Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Savannah Airport, In general my stayed was BAD!!!, 3 days in a row, no cleanroom service, ( I spoke with general manager Valery, and told her that my room didn't have cleaning service, fixed bed, replaced towels, etc,)she assure me it will be clean that day. Since I spend all day out, when I come back late that night, was really disappointing see my room with no room service again!!! .Next day I spoke again with General Manager Valery, she apologize again, (but she didn't mean it), the day I was leaving I talk to her again to tell her how disappointed i was, she promised to get some credit back to my bill via Expedia, ( It didn't happens, just another LIE!! from her. Here is the deal, if you want to have a BAD time, stay at this place. I will NEVER stay at this place AGAIN!!

Nice room, nice location. We had a bit of trouble at first charging our EV (Electric vehicle, non-Tesla) and the front desk clerk said all maint was gone and she didn't know what to do about it. We tried it again after we'd had supper and it worked then. Not sure what the issue was. Everything else was okay. There are two chargers for non-Tesla and two chargers for Tesla. All were being used when we got up in the morning. The non-Tesla one takes all night to charge. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Fresh cookies and coffee available at all times was a fun treat.

Rooms are clean. Staff seems ok. Little bit bossy and attitude filled. Water pressure in the shower is TERRIBLE. Have to run around in the shower just to get wet. Not coming back.

Bed was NOT CLEAN. The room appeared clean with beds made, but when I moved the pillow there was a strand of hair underneath. When I pulled the blanket off the bed I found crumbs. Other than the absolutely disgusting used beds, it was a Standard Marriott experience. Check-in was easy. Parking available.

The place needs updated as wall paper was peeling off the hall walls. The room was below standards as it need a thorough cleaning. To be blunt ,the bathroom wals had buggers wipe onto the wall even with nose hair. The light fixtures had dust layered on them.

I arrived after 11:20pm and waited a pretty long time to be greeted. The lobby was completely vacant. I had previously checked in virtually and requested a mobile key, but you are still required to check in at the front desk upon arrival. I waited a bit more and a young girl came out who appeared a bit under the weather with a cold. She apologized to me for the wait, and told me they'd been waiting for me. She handed me my room key and directed me down the hall. I was the first room on the first floor- not the ideal location for rest since the dining and lobby are directly outside the room, but I was only there for a few hours of sleep so it wasn't a huge deal. If I'd been there longer I would have requested a further room. The room was nice- bathroom, large bed, fridge, and desk. The shower was modest but stocked with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. I felt congested a few minutes after being in the room, so I turned the ac/fan vent off and it helped a lot. The next morning I enjoyed some complimentary coffee and fruit in the lobby. Valerie greeted me with such a genuine smile and welcome I felt like family. (Very different from my arrival) I chatted a bit with Valerie and learned that was is the general manager! She exudes kindness- counter service- she was SO warm! She talked to me about the weather, about their shuttle services, and truly made me feel loved. She changed my entire impression of the hotel. As I left she said, "safe travels my love." Wow!!! Truly family! I will be back because of Valerie! Also of note there was a sweet younger gentleman wiping down the juice/tea/coffee station who was incredibly polite and friendly. Kudos to Valerie! When management exudes a high moral it sets the tone for other employees! She is the right person to lead this hotel to success and being their lower ratings up! I definitely think they deserve more than the 3 stars they have currently. Definitely worth a visit. They also have water behind the building! I definitely recommend going out to sit near it!

When the AC says 66 degrees, it really means 82. But nice clean property.

The room was clean and service was great. My only issue is, the AC did not work as well as it should have, which caused almost a musty smell! Also, those were not queen beds, there is no way. They seemed very small. Other than that, it was a good stay!

My room had a leak in the ceiling which dripped all night and soaked the carpet entering the bathroom. We notified the front desk but because the hotel was full, they were not able to move us. The assistant general manager (AGM) offered us points as a Marriott rewards member. We did not want the points but to be notified the next day when another room was available. The next morning, the AGM called our room & told us that since housekeeping didn't notice a leak that we were basically lying. We provided photos and told her to come up & see for herself. I contacted corporate office because clearly this lady is unprofessional and just not smart. We secured a room at a different hotel and were packing to leave when the POLICE showed up. The AGM contacted the police & told them she did not feel safe. Allegedly, she told the police my husband raised his voice on the telephone and it was threatening.Basically, the AGM weaponized the police officers because we had the nerve to call Marriott's corporate office and report her unacceptable behavior. We had some conversation with the police, they thanked my husband for his service and left. I recorded the entire interaction for our protection. I also recorded us leaving the room because the staff may try to allege that we damaged the room. Most of the staff here are unprofessional and GHETTO. You are willing to call the police because I contacted corporate office?? I was offered points but I want NOTHING from Marriott and will be closing my account and CC. Do yourself a favor and do not bother with this hotel. I would rate it a zero but that's not possible. The new hotel and staff are professional and doing their jobs well.

Great location and staff is Professional but the Hotel rooms are HORRIBLE! Very musty and moldy smell. A/C did not work in one room and change roomed. A/C set to 66 but barely made it to 73 at night. Every companion complained of the same issues so Hotel must have room controls elsewhere. Reported the problembut no fix. Definitely will never stay here again!Rooms: Horrible smell, out dated, need an entirely new A/C system. I would not stay here.
