The apartment complex does not live up to what the leasing consultants and property management persuades you. Made to pay mandatory fees and not properly kept and etc. Spoke with the property manager Katie Evatt & Mey…bare minimum was done. Consultants tend to abuse the lease agreement. Don’t recommend.
-community fee & cable fee don’t use or keep up with (stairs)
-intruders in home without permission or notice
-mold in tub, and window sills
-pool closed every other day
- mandatory smartphone installment suspicious (spies on you and checks your internet data)
-charged 150 on second day when communicated issue about technical difficulties to submit payment
-Random cockroaches
- leak in gym, gym not up to date
- Gate dysfunction
But hey! Just my opinion❤️

I’ve been having an issue with my upstairs neighbor letting some type of liquid, which most recently resembled feces, leak onto our balcony. This has been happening for two months or more and the office has yet to correct this issue. I had to purchase my own materials like a tarp, industrial stapler, cleaning supplies, and a freaking ladder to clean the mess he keeps making, instead of the office making him stop whatever he’s doing. And I’m expected to do this on my own. I was told to purchase these items as a “runoff” for when his mess comes down again. I asked yesterday for my balcony to be power washed I was told it was updated on my work order and I haven’t heard a thing. I don’t know if this stuff is harmful or if it’s a biohazard. I’m so disappointed with the leasing staff that they currently have. They allow their emotions and feelings towards specific residents impact their ability to remain professional. They don’t jump to move because I got on their ass about how nasty my apartment was on move in day and it’s been an issue since. I go to the office and stand and stand and they eventually get to me. The previous staff actually gave a damn about their residents. This is just a job to these people.

I loved living at MAA Benton sad to leave apartments for our own house - but I couldn’t have been happier here! The staff is incredibly friendly and always quick to respond to any requests or maintenance issues. The grounds are well-kept, and the amenities are top-notch—especially the pool. The apartments themselves are modern and spacious, with high-quality finishes. It’s also in a great location, close to shopping, restaurants, and parks. I feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home here. Highly recommend!

Only giving 1 star because I can’t give 0. We moved due to mold that was not corrected by management. After asking to be moved to another unit, which did not happen, we find another home for our daughter. We’re now in collections because of insufficient notice and other fees. We have ten weeks to correct this issue but they did not. I’d you want a caring community, I do not recommend. Only money matters not our health.
Update: I emailed with feedback and still no response. 09/25/24.

My family and I lived at Godley station for a year and half during the pandemic, We LOVED it there. We went swimming all the time, the staff was fantastic, and our apartment was beautiful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! Also, Jaqlynn is super nice!! :)

Our maintnance staff here at MAA Benton (formerly Colonial Grand at Godley Lake) is always outstanding. We had a hole in a door and Chris and Johnny were great. Friendly, courteous and professional. The door did take a while to get in since it was a special order size but they kept us in the loop from start to finish. Thank you!

Apartment Complex itself is nice. Friendly office staff from what I’ve experienced so far. It is a little outdated, it would be nice to have some updates around the complex (the gym especially, the dog park etc)maybe some outside work around the apartments(doors being repainted), other than that quiet area and spacious apartments. I was told eventually we were supposed to be getting a mail room for packages , I hope that is really in the works so that we don’t have to have packages left at our doors.

MAA Benton is a great property. If you are planning to live, work for or work alongside, they are great all around. We have over had an issues with the property or the staff. Great place!

Benton Apartments has exceeded my expectations. During the transfer of our apartment, they were patient with us and took care of us and made sure that we were comfortable with the whole process. They made sure everything was taken care of. Cleaners did a great job on the apartment. Could not find a dirty spot in site. I did notice some maintenance issues that had to be taken care of, they were a couple things, but maintenance showed up that day and took care of everything and is working fine. I appreciate Kaythi and Alicia throughout this whole process and our maintenance people. Justin has helped us a lot through the process as well taken care of everything. As long as I’ve been here, I have not had a bad experience at all. As Apartment does a really good job and takes really good care of us.
