“Classic spot for old timey fudge and Southern pralines, gelato and sorbet, and other sweets. This location is WAY less busy than the one downtown. Amazing friendly service.”
“We stumbled upon this sweet little gem and couldn’t resist stopping by! They were giving out free samples of their praline candy, and wow, it was love at first bite! Of course, we HAD to buy some—they were just that good. The atmosphere in the store was amazing, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. It was such a fun experience, and we left with delicious pralines and big smiles. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in town and have a sweet tooth”
“We visited River Street Sweets with our 3-year-old and 3-month-old and had a fantastic experience! The store offers a wide variety of delicious candies, chocolates, and homemade pralines. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was lively and inviting. Our toddler loved trying the free samples, which you can enjoy as many as you like! We appreciated the quality and freshness of the treats, making it a great stop for families. River Street Sweets is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth or looking for a unique gift. Highly recommend for a fun and tasty experience!”
“Super cute candy store with a variety of options! Thank you Freida (hope I’m spelling that correctly) for the great service! Everything was organized neatly, and it was a great experience. I found a lot of different candies I had never seen before ! There seems to be a lot of effort put into the overall vibe of the store. It’s tough to compete with River Street Sweets and Savannah Candy Kitchen- but I would definitely return to OMG.”
“Highly recommend checking out this shop ☺️ Got my girlfriend chocolate covered strawberries for valentines day and she won't stop talking about how good they are ?”
“We received some treats from our youngest son and daughter-in-law…absolutely the best chewy pralines ON THE PLANET!! ?We need a shop in the Kansas City, Missouri area for sure…ASAP!! ?”
“They were nice and friendly. I was looking for a lot of "old school" candy and they did not have a lot to choose from. I wanted some Fun Dips, lemonheads, Boston Baked Beans, Now and Laters, Blow pops, but they only had "new school" flavored Lemonheads and Now and Laters. 😄 They still offered a variety of other good items, just not exactly what I was looking for.”
“So, unfortunately, I have some mixed feelings about Chocolat by Adam Turoni in Savannah. The store itself is a treat. They really pride themselves on presentation as they had kind of an Alice in Wonderland-Mad-hatter theme going on, which was fun. The place looked incredible, and the person who helped us was very friendly, informative, and fun. He knew the chocolates well.
The unfortunate thing is the chocolates themselves, we grabbed a bunch of truffles, were a little underwhelming. They looked and sounded like they'd be very flavorful, but they mostly weren't. The best one I had, I don't have a name for it, but it was coated in white chocolate and had a bit of a cherry flavor. Also, the Habanero one really hits the back of your throat for a surprise. But I grabbed a couple of the Bailey's ones, as I love Bailey's in my coffee, and was left wanting more. The truffles are well made and so well crafted, we just were expecting more flavor. Maybe we just didn't pick the right ones. It's still a great place to stop and look and maybe find a yummy treat.”
“I stopped by and browsed through their wonderful selection on Candy apples. I was looking for a specific combo they did not have. Here comes Tammy and Lashaya to the rescue. They helped tremendously and got a chocolatier to custome make the selection I wanted. Please stop bye and visit as it was a wonderful experience”
