My cat “Tuxxy 12Toes” absolutely loves going for his Spa day at “Animal Hospital at Rice Hope”. The staff is kind, courteous, patient and they love my Kitty cat, and Tuxxy loves them. As with everything, their prices have increased with inflation, but their service is worth it the price increases.

I went as a walk-in, no call ahead, no previous visits. I was politely welcomed and my 13 year old dog was seen shortly thereafter. The initial contact at front desk was polite, professional & very helpful & patient with my questions & concerns. When I encountered another staff member who came out to get specific information she explained in detail what the process was and was very caring, personable & professional. They took care of our Jiggs and gave him a few head rubs & hugs as well. I was truly impressed and will be a repeat customer for all our pet needs.

**Update to situation posted below original negative 1 star review**
I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience here recently, just trying to get an annual appointment for my dog. I have been here the last 2 years for these appointments, without issue. My dog is extremely anxious, and doesn't like pokey things in her face, but is 25lbs, and has never bit anyone. The vet tech who was helping us, had a very chaotic energy, and seemed very nervous from the jump. She freaked out after she tried to temp my dogs ear, and my dog turned her head and bared her teeth. That's where everything went south.
The next 45 minutes, was the tech entering then leaving the room, looking for a solution, and brought in 2 different muzzles that she demanded I try to put on my dog, while also having to hold her in place. The muzzles were all half the size they should have been, making the task impossible. She would disappear for 10-15 minutes at a time, and then come back looking more shook and upset. Finally, another tech came in, who informed me they would be unable to do ANYTHING for my dog, unless I brought her in the next day and let them sedate her. Again, this is the same dog I brought in twice previously, with ZERO issues. I was not able to come in the next day, and beyond that, any appointment was months out. Ridiculous.
So I was there for over an hour, my dog was traumatized, and absolutely nothing was done for her. The only thing that changed from year over year, was the competence of the staff. My dog still has not had her shots, and did not get the pain medication she desperately needed.
I do not trust this office enough for them to sedate my dog, and care for her without me being present. Looks like I'm going to have to drive to Richmond Hill soon, to go to our old vet, who also never had an issue with treating her. Really unfortunate, as Rice Hope is 5 minutes from my house.
8/29 Update:
Holly and her team reached out and rescheduled me, with the promise of a much smoother experience. It went significantly better, and we got the bulk of everything taken care of. They were very sweet to her, and offered her multiple treats, which she gladly accepted. ?
Realistically, I would give like 4.5/5, because of the original visit/issue, but I'm happy to give them 5 because of how well they responded. Thank you Holly and team for being there, and doing what you do!

Dr Bragg and company here @ AHRH have been my go to for the care of my animals for over a decade…my mom and sister trust them too!

and the surgery went well. They are very professional ?. I highly recommend this animal hospital.

I was trying to get my pup in for a nail issue, and despite not being able to see her quickly, gave amazing advice and referrals to help get my pup seen by another clinic! How amazing to help in any way possible!

I appreciate this animal hospital so much. It is conveniently close to my home and all the staff is so kind and gentle with my puppy. He’s not scared when he goes there (for the most part), just displays a very healthy curiosity. Thank All The Staff For Their Hard Work

We got a puppy back in April. We took her in and staff was super nice and my rescue puppy who doesn’t like many people seemingly loved the environment and vibes. She was happy to see staff and most other clients. It was so refreshing to see that since she’s usually opposite. I switched my older dog over to them since I enjoyed my first experience. They were so good with my lab. She’s can be energetic and she was scared at first with going in for the first time but by the end of it was sharing all the lovings. She can be super affectionate and was so with all the ladies she’s never seemed to feel that comfortable anywhere else I have taken her. Staff was informative and pleasant to speak with.

beware - 5 days of boarding turned into an injury that left us no choice but to put our boy down. Pure negligence on their part. we trusted them, and learned the hard way. if I could enter this with no stars, they would get none. Total butcher shop, not a hospital at all.

Love Rice Hope. Have used them many times for my animals and they are always thorough, professional, and compassionate. Prices are very reasonable and they are easy to get in to get seen. I would recommend them to anyone, in fact, I recommend them all the time

The staff recently took care of my sweet Ellie girl. And everyone from the front desk staff, vet techs, and veterinarians treated her like absolute gold. 20/10 recommend if you are looking for a local vet office who treats you and your babies like family.

Only open til 1 on Saturdays. Requested leaving animal untreated all weekend but we couldn’t do that to our baby. Drove to hardeeville to receive immediate care from an actual animal hospital. Not impressed in the slightest with this facility.
