Our stop here today while visiting the area was delightful. The history section was interesting, the local art on display and for sale was amazing, and the woman working there (Cheri) was an absolute gem. I cannot stress how amazing she was, and - if she sees this, I was wearing the Wheel of Time tee shirt. :)Local artists and writers have their wares on display and for sale. I only bought one mug, but I could have done much more damage. Bonus! When you purchase something, it gets bagged in a handmade cloth bag rather than a generic plastic one.We will absolutely visit again the next time we're in the area.

Great space to see a community theater production.Nice sized stage with comfortable seating.Fun local artists have their artwork for sale along the walls. Heavy representation on the quilting arts.Native plant seeds are also offered, if you want to grow some guilt free wildflowers.Highly recommend.

If you are in this area, you MUST visit the center. Sautee is a magnet for artistic talent! Visual, theatrical, and more. The center building itself is a wonderful historical site that shouldn't be missed in its own right. There is always something going on, and if you are a stranger to.the community, you will find wonderful welcoming people. The center radiates authenticity, not deliberately or staged. It is simply Real. Enjoy!!

I love the museum of native pottery! Be sure to watch the short video when you go. I just wish you could buy pieces of this type of pottery while there.

Very neat to see the old school and the history inside. Art show was dog friendly and we took my mom’s dog and she loved all the attention.

Was displeasured to learn that the "teacher" (unsure of proper title) for our kid's plays is potentially completely untrained and incapable of maintaining order throughout a practice. This will probably be our last theater activity with this place. Sad to see so much community support, maybe that support doesn't translate in operating capital? I do not know. But kids still have to pay HIGH program fees and are often providing costuming for themselves while a young adult trys to instruct and control a large group of kids. Not her fault, someone is leaving her out to dry in my opinion. She is simply to young to have had the chance to learn enough about leadership. On the other hand, our family often enjoys non-theater related activities here. The park is well maintained and clean. The festivals and exchanges are usually interesting and worth a stop at the least. A lot of local artisans come and sell different "themed" handmade wears several times a year. Personally, I drive around Sautee and the smells from people's BBQs makes me wish there was some festival here for it! (And there may be I do not know all their activities by far)Overall, with slightly modified leadership roles (not even a personnel change, maybe add additional people. Just someone needs to help that theater instructor she is struggling hard!) The place would be great. It is definitely one of the last community centers that does try to focus on the actual community from what I can tell after my few years of living here and do appreciate them. Just highly upset that we pay hundreds of dollars to participate in a community event and that doesn't cover a 20 dollar costume from Amazon, and that someone is leaving this young adult instructor out "in the deep end" with seemingly no instruction. Just don't sit right with me.

This facility is just so charming! We go every couple of months for a contra dance that is held there. It makes us feel like a part of the Georgia mountain history.

I cannot say how impressed we were with all these people who took the time to decorate their trunks and stand out there in the cold just to make the holiday safe and fun for all the kids. So Thanks to all the wonderful people who blessed us by doing this!!! There was a HUGE turnout. The kids buckets were full!
