I have always brought my puppies roxy and Dora to see Dr Joseph. Sadly she left. But I would recommend Dr Oliver and I recommend this Vet. Sadly I live too far and had to take them to another Vet. Thanks always

Super friendly people. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I had a little trouble finding the location (should have trusted Google Maps to just go around the corner). Very happy with my visit (checkup for two cats)

This Sandy Springs VCA location went above and beyond while taking my baby Kiwi's BP. She tends to get very excited and her BP goes as high as the upper 200's (which is ridiculous). This makes it hard to properly prescribe meds and state what her true BP is. Well during a previous visit, she was put on another blood pressure medication so her BP had to be taking again during this visit to make sure the medication was working. The amazing staff not only cut the lights off but they also lit a candle, played calming music, and held her close in a wrapped blanket to calm her. If that isn't amazing service then I don't know what it is. I thank them so much for going above and beyond for my baby. Oh and btw her BP ended up being in the 120's lol!! Thanks again guys!!

I took my cat here, and they take care of him really good when he was sick. They also guide me some guidance for his care. We are definitely come back up.

Not fond of this place! The vet didn’t seem interested and didn’t take time to explain anything at all. And they’re VERY expensive for no reason.

Buyer Beware! I started with VCA North Atlanta Hospital 15 to 20 years ago. The clinic was run by Dr. Lavendar and was not then affiliated with VCA. Because my 2nd dog was a rescue and I had no history on him, I invested in their Care Club plan. All I heard about was how much I'd save by going on the plan. Shame on me for not thoroughly reading every page of the contract. I was not aware that if my dog died after the annual contract started - that I would be responsible for the lesser of the remaining 11 months or for the services I had accrued. The annual physical bill looks good when you see how much the services would have cost with no contract. It never occurred to me that the prices would be jacked up a lot. I understand convenience fees, but this was a bit much. I compared the exact pills distributed by Blue Pearl Hospital (which is very expensive) and VCA - VCA's prices were quite a bit higher. The prescription dog food VCA put my dog on was 25% higher than Chewys. I am not going to get into the rudeness and disrespect from the office manager. When my beloved dog passed away last month - I did not hear a word of sympathy from the Veterinarians or the practice. And this is after I had been a client for many years. As I said earlier - buyer beware!

Dr K and Dr Smail have been entrusted with my pup since the day I brought him home. Anytime my pup comes in for a sick exam they always call the day after to check on him. I trust them and the entire staff with my fur baby. They treat my pup like their own.

Dr. Kalaney takes SUCH good care of my pup and even always follows up a couple days later to make sure he's doing well after his visit. I live closer to another location because I moved after my pup started going to the vet, but honestly, I'd make the drive any time to go to VCA North Atlanta. Although my pup doesn't appreciate our long drives to the vet, he's treated like a little king and that makes me so happy. I highly recommend VCA North Atlanta (Dr. Kalaney and the whole staff included).

Trooper has gone to Dr Smail since he was three months old and he’s almost 9. They have been an amazing vet office and the only place I trust. The staff is always kind and helpful. My aunt takes her tripod Aussie, Watson here as well and my cousin has taking mr kitty. All of us feel they will provide the best care for the animals.

I've been here 3-4 times (not at all during Covid / 2020) with my 2 cats. The staff & doc seem to be OK with what they know, but when it came ' time' to put my older kitty down, I called the week before to learn the covid procedures, and then again on the morning of, to tell them we were coming that day. They only let one person in (with a mask ), so I sent my husband with the aging cat. This was not an emergent situation, but she was 16+ and had been 'telling us' for months that she was ready to pass on (not eating regularly/ limited movement, vomiting, hiding under the bed, growling at the other cats, etc). So when we finally made the very hard decision to put her down, we said goodbyes at our house, and hubby brought her over there (she HATES the car). Then, they actually told him she hadn't lost enough weight and that if we think she's in pain or won't eat, we could simply give her medication and separate her from the other cats at meal time and then promptly sent kitty and hubby back home. WHAT?!? Why on earth do they need to make a tough family decision even THAT much harder? We have had this cat since 2006 and we know she is NOT living any type of quality of life. Yes, she's breathing, but she's not happy, has more bad days then good days, and we simply don't want to see this kitty suffer a rough ending to life. She was already miserable by all other signs, and then now, they're sending us home to make her (and our other 2 kitties) even MORE miserable, instead of letting her peacefully pass. I just cannot understand why a cat who has lived a perfectly cushy existence and is getting close to passing cannot go out with some grace and dignity, if that's what we've decided to do. Many shelter cats are extinguished at way younger ages for way less 'issues' ; this one has lived a good life and doesn't need to suffer at the end, but is turned away. MAKES NO SENSE. So, please simply beware that +this VCA is less than cooperative with end -of-life things (yes, we had kitty put down the next day, elsewhere) +if you take a pet here, be sure you're ready for this veterinarian to try to give you medications and I suppose watch your cat suffer until the bitter end ( for $$, I guess) +there are plenty of wonderful, adoptable animals in the world, but if you cannot give them a good life, then let them cross the rainbow bridge when you as the owner know that it's time, what incentive is there to actually rescue more?

I can’t thank the staff at VCA North Atlanta enough for taking care of our pet this week. We called with an urgent situation as a new client and they were not only able to get us in but able to do so within two hours. Our girl got great care during her two night stay with them and we will be forever grateful. Thank you Aleecia, Dr. Kalany, and the rest of the VCA staff!

A great vet clinic that handles the pet with compassion and care. Allows owners in the clinic using appropriate CDC guidelines (temp checks, face masks, and had any recent contact with a positive person), so you can consult with the vet. Offers advice about pet treatment options using the latest treatments and ensures it's an affordable option for the owner. In short, a great vet clinic!

The VCA of North Atlanta is an outstanding veterinarian hospital. They are so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I am a new dog owner and they have gone above and beyond to give me answers to all my questions and guide me in the best ways to care for little puppy. Dr. Kalany and Dr. Smail are wonderful and so are the front office staff. Both of my pets come to this location and we will always refer any friends with animals to this location as well. Thank you for everything VCA!
