This is not my closet Publix, however I pass the one near me to shop here. Joaquin at the deli made sure I had a great experience today. Most deli associates get annoyed with the sandwich I order (it’s a bit particular). He prepared my sandwich with such care. He made it the way I’d make my own! Very kind and patient.

Today, my family and I had the worst experience at this store. I went grocery shopping with my son and my wife. My 5 year old son was sitting inside the cart. We made our way into the checkout express checkout lane. My son and I were placing food on the conveyor belt. My son was putting the groceries on the belt while sitting inside the cart. Afterwards, I proceeded to pay for the groceries. Next, we continued to talk with the cashier. WE DID NOT LEAVE THE CHECKOUT LANE. A different PUBLIX employee (black woman with short gold hair and black glasses) came from two lanes down, reached into my cart, pulled two additional products that my son was sitting on, and in a aggressive and rude manner, stated “YOU DIDN’T PAY FOR THESE PRODUCTS”. She then walked away. Again, WE NEVER LEFT THE CHECKOUT LINE”. We were still speaking with the cashier. I immediately paid for those items.
This employee was a black woman with very short gold hair, black glasses, foreign accent, green shirt and black pants. She was very rude, aggressive and disrespectful. I believe her title is customer service representative. It was very insulting to my family, considering I frequent this Publix quite often due to living in close proximity. Furthermore, I have family that are retired law enforcement and military. It’s very insulting to my family and I, considering we come from a background of law enforcement and military. We pride ourselves on having integrity, honesty and making ethical decisions. If there was a mistake, it should have been addressed in a more professional manner.

Overall i do like the store, however....... How do you employee people who can not make a simple sub sandwich and follow basic requests. Every time i get a sub and natacha is working she listens to nothing. I ask do you toast rolls here. She says yes, then puts mayo on roll. I said i want roll toasted, she say i am. Then puts the meat and cheese on and bakes sub. Ummm no i asked for the roll to be toasted not the entire sub. I ask for my tomatoes to be cut in half because the wholes slices fall out of roll. she says ok and then puts whole slices on roll and cuts roll in half. Really, how can you be a grown adult and not be able to make a sub as requested?????

Love this place, but they don't have self-checkout machines. I am a pro at those and an introvert, so I rely on them. But their staff is friendly and they always seem to have a good number of lanes open, so wait times aren't bad.
