400.00 dollars for a rebuilt alternator and 448.00 labor when you are from out of town you are between a rock and hard place I will not be back to st.simon's island anytime soon.

Simply put I got scammed. I was told it would be $70 to diagnose what was going on with my car. Never heard back. Called two days later and they said car was ready. I came in and it was $270. I asked what was done and they said nothing. There was nothing wrong to be fixed and that’s how the car is…. So of course I asked what happened to the $70 diagnostic fee and estimate? They said it took them two hours to figure out nothing was wrong with the car and I needed to pay them for two hours of labor even though they insisted no work was actually done. I call that a scam.

John was very courteous and professional. Brake warning lights on our Lexus had us thinking we were going to have to have the car towed to Savanah dealership, but Island Automotive repaired it at a very reasonable cost, and saved us a huge hassle. Will go there first if we have any more troubles.
