The park is beautiful. The trails are challenging and very good. Depending on when you go, the trails are very quiet and peaceful. There's not any dog stations on the trail, so you would have to make sure to bring poo bags. My dogs loved it and I would take them back again.Dog-friendliness: It's a great place to bring your dog. I wish they had more dog stations for poo bags and dumping.

Very well managed, clean campground. The sites can be stacked in places (31, 32, and 33, for example, are right on top of each other), but the larger RV sites are a bit more private.

Great place to camp. Bath houses are newly renovated and sites are in good shape. Great mini golf course. Nearby nature trail is moderate and a good one mile loop, with the option for another mile loop.

Another great GA state park! I tent camped solo and had a nice time. One of the campground hosts introduced herself and told me if I need anything to let her know. Staff at check in were really nice too. My campsite was great, convenient to restrooms and walking trails.Restrooms: Cleaned regularly

We had great weather and a great time, but the equestrian campground restroom was filthy and too small. Plus, there are too few signs in the main campground; this matters a lot when you're towing a camper.

Horse campsites are not easy to get pickup and trailer into sites. Stables are sufficient but stall doors could be a little higher along with much sturdier locks. Longer water hose would be nice. And, hitching post have fire ant hills all around, eating up horses tied to post. Bath house probably clean but hard to tell with all the rust on appliances/stall doors. Just very old looking

We did the evening CCC kayak tour. It was amazing. We saw herons and a bald eagle nest. We learned a lot about how the park came to be and about bird calls. We were on the water for sunset. Our guide was amazing and allowed us to go at our pace with no pressure for speeding up or slowing down. It was a great adventure for our family, from age 7 up. We want to go back soon! They have so many programs for the kids!

Took one of the ranger led kayak tours around the lake, and enjoyed it immensely. The rangers were knowledgeable about the history and wildlife of the area. Beautiful weather and lots of little coves to explore.

The beach is very nice and kept up with. Parking is $5 and swimming is free. The kids had a great time.

We stayed here 2 weeks and loved it. It's a beautiful park. We got to go hiking and my kids loved the playground. The facilities were clean when we used them, and the people in the office were very kind and helpful.

Was a perfect setting for a family gathering. The cabins are delightful and convenient, as well as being quite comfortable. We also made use of shelter #2, which was a great space- exactly what we needed!

Overall a good place to spend a relaxing day with family.Carry your food as there is no restaurants nearby.$5 parking feeIf you wanna do Kayaking, you will have to pay (at least $30 for 3 hours) at Welcome office (1 Mile away), get the key and pick your kayak. It’s all self-serve as no help is there at the location.Restrooms: Restrooms are not super clean but works.Picnic area: It has grills and benches.

Weather seemed to dampen our camping experience. But it was also pretty awesome too. The thrill of washing away because the water rose up so much due to the constant rain throughout the night. I would do it again in a heart beat.
