Recently spent some time at the SpringHill Suites in Alpharetta/Roswell location. The service is great, the location is convenient to a lot of things. The staff....they are super efficient that I experienced. The facility is very clean and well kept, the rooms are very clean and well kept. What I noticed is that the rooms are made for functionality not comfort. The beds are on platforms and very hard, the couches are very firm and not at all comfortable, the one chair at the desk is uncomfortable. I sure hope that SpringHill will consider rethinking adding comfort to functionality. Would have been a more pleasant stay had the beds, couches and chair been more comfortable. Once back to the room from work in an office, you need comfort.

As a Marriott Gold Member, I am dissatisfied with the customer service, & the benefits that this location do not allow! Upon checking in, the manager (woman with locs in her hair), before greeting me…I was told we might not have rooms. Instead of looking in the system first, to see what was available, I was automatically hit with something negative. After I bought that to her attention, her response was, “I don’t have to check you in early.” My response, “So you do have a room, after QuickRing mentioning that soon as I come in your doors?” She couldn’t say anything. Next, as a Bonvoy member, I have late checkout…if it’s available. I spoke with 3 people! The first two, said no, I can only extend an extra hour. The person this morning couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t allow me late checkout. This specific hotel shouldn’t be allowed to be under the Marriott Bonvoy Company due to not honoring the benefits that you are granted being a member. If you are in town & need extra time in the room to handle business….DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL…They will not allow you to enjoy the benefits. Maybe they should list on their website what they won’t do, because that’s all I got from management & staff…excluding the woman this morning.

Rooms were good and clean. Pillows were really soft, so you might want to bring your own our double up. Breakfast was the worst part of the trip. Eggs were wet and tasted oily, biscuits were hard. I actually broke my fork when I tried to cut it. Staff was friendly. Place was solid.

Solid location. Room sizes are generous, and the facility is new. Breakfast had nice choices, including fresh fruit and whole grains. Would have given 5 on service, except they were short staffed, which meant you need to request daily housekeeping services at check-in. Internet speeds were very fast, so I had no problem with video conference calls.

We used this as our hotel block for our recent wedding. We chose SpringHill after my parents had a good experience at another location. All of our guests who stayed here said the rooms were great and enjoyed the breakfast food! The team was really easy to get in touch with for setting up the block and so helpful and easy to work with!

Was not expecting much for the rates that were offered but we honestly loved our stay. The rooms were so roomy and didn’t feel cramped like some hotels. The service was amazing too, every receptionist that we encountered was so nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location but can hear lots of noise from the outside rooms. Breakfast was good! Rooms were nice and spacious. Air conditioner is super cold and makes for a freezing guest if you are seeking right next to it. But great hotel!!

TLDR: I found a roach in my room and didn't get any follow up from the hotel employees.I checked into this hotel around 10:55 pm on July 7th. I had a two night stay booked. I was in room 318. As I was just about done unpacking, I found a large American cockroach in a corner under the bathroom counter. I took a video of the room when I walked in, and when I reviewed the video later, I noticed the roach on the bathroom wall, above the trash can near the toilet paper. Both the hallway and the room were pretty humid. The thermostat was set at 72° when I entered, and I turned it down to 68° but it took a while to cool down. I went to the front desk to tell them about the roach, and the man working there had no sympathy for me, even though I was in tears over seeing the roach. He said he could move me to another room, but wasn't able to authorize a refund, nor could he assist me in finding another hotel to stay at. At this point, it was nearly midnight and I didn't feel comfortable staying in the hotel any longer. I know roaches are infectious, bacteria-carrying creatures, and where there's one, there's always more. The front desk employee told me to call tomorrow to speak to the manager about a refund, but it was "unlikely" I'd be given one. I checked out with no refund, and went down the road to the Home2 Suites, where they were able to accommodate me and I had no issues there.I called back the next day and spoke with the manager on duty. She stated that the hotel had "water bugs" (the insect that people commonly refer to as "water bugs" are American cockroaches) and that it probably came in through the window when a previous guest had it open, and it was to be expected since they were near a creek. She also said that they had just had an exterminator come to spray for roaches, and I believe she said that they had been by the previous day. Usually after an exterminator sprays for roaches, they come out of their hiding spots and die, but they do not die instantly. So she basically confirmed they had roaches on the phone call. She said she would be unable to issue me the refund, and I would have to speak to the general manager. She said she'd leave a note for the GM and that she'd most likely call me in the following morning.By around 1pm Sunday afternoon, I still hadn't heard from the GM. I called and spoke with Angela, the general manager. She said she had no notes on this incident, and she had to make a call to someone to see what was going on. She confirmed that she had my contact info and said she'd call back in about 10 minutes. Close to two hours later, she still hadn't returned my call, so I called again. I spoke with another employee, who said the GM was on another call. He took my contact info down and said she'd call me back. I called back again on Monday afternoon, and spoke with another employee. He said the same thing, that the GM was on the phone and would call me back. She never did. On Wednesday, I called Marriott's corporate number and explained the situation. They gave me a case number and told me I'd receive a follow up email in 3-5 business days. I never received any follow up. I never received any sympathy from any employee at the hotel regarding this situation. Eventually, the charge for my stay disappeared off my credit card, so problem solved I guess. I'll still stay at other Marriott hotels, just never this one again. Some other points about the hotel that I wouldn't care about if I hadn't found a roach in my room: while the shower smelled like cleaning products, the ceiling of the shower had some mold on it. The metal tray the ice bucket was on had some rust. At check-in, I was told breakfast went until 10. The hotel website said 9. The sign in the lobby said 9:30. I left before 12:30 am, so I have no clue when breakfast ended, but the conflicting signs were confusing.I did check the mattress for bed bugs, and the mattress was clean with no sign of bed bugs that I saw.

Great hotel. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because of the breakfast. The best thing of the breakfast was the orange juice and cereal.

This is a fairly new motel! The staff was very friendly and courteous! Room was very nice, large and clean...had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker! Breakfast was included in the price, and they had a great variety of food and juice, milk, fruit and yogurt, eggs, waffles, sausage and bacon! Great price for 2 adults and children over 12! Very close to all the attractions in Atlanta and Roswell, GA. I would highly recommend this place for family or business!!! Also nice clean indoor pool and gym!

Overpriced for the service received. It was a place to sleep with a good breakfast. I had to revisit the front desk multiple times before a staff member was there to assist. The one thing that completely ruined it for me was requesting a 2pm check-out and having the request approved, only to have housekeeping open my door just after 11am. I was not near the door, so I had to yell to stay out as I had no clothes on. Unacceptable. Complete lack of communication between the front desk & housekeeping. The situation with housekeeping entering my room never, ever should have happened & I should not have been put in that situation. It was beyond frustrating. I paid for that room to be my space & safe haven & the SpringHill staff violated that space. I will spend my money elsewhere next time I am in the area. FYI - Comfort Suites Alpharetta had a higher rating and was around $80 less.
