I Interviewed with this company. It was very disheartening for one of there black recruiters to state that black ppl are lazy and when I took my drug test she questioned me if I would test positive for anything. When I told her no she asked me if I was sure. As a black woman. I felt extremely uncomfortable and some what attacked. My ancestors literally built this country w blood sweat and tears. They even created the platform for her to hold the job she has today. I contacted her supervisor Dreama, she seemed pretty shocked. She is a white woman so I made sure I explained to her my concerns and would it been any different if a white person had stated that to me. Hope she took the necessary precautions so no one else has to experience this racism from black Karen again. Proceed with caution. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to consider to being employed here after this experience. Nor to have a loved one cared for by them. I’m very disappointed w the experience and think it’s very important for me to share.

Stay away from this group. Trust me when I tell you they are not trustworthy. If you do use them, get cameras and or lock up all valuables. It's infuriating what they claim and have this kind of deception with their employee/s. 4.0 is a joke. GHS can reach out, I'd love to explain things to them.I'm following up just to add I haven't heard anything from this company regarding the items missing from our home. Like I said, stay away from them!

Working in the senior care industry, I have referred countless families to Golden Home Services over the past several years. Everyone has reported back how wonderful they are and how thankful they are for their services. Every time I call Laura, she comes through right away. I cannot recommend them more highly.

We asked Golden Homes to make up the bed for our cousin Ronnie, because he can’t make it up himself, and, he really likes his room to look nice.He also enjoys having them come into his room so he can talk to them for a minute, he’s a very social person.So, thank you for making his room nice for him to be in everyday..

Like another reviewer, I experienced fraudulent billing and charges with this company. The company came recommended by the Wellstar Kennestone Care Coordinator over all other companies provided on a list. The company contact info was written in by hand at the bottom of a page where all other businesses were formally typed on the list and the Care Coordinator specifically stated this company was the best. I should have known then something wasn’t right. I had one visit by Golden Home services. They bathed my mother and left. I was not only overcharged for the number of hours they were in my mothers home, but I was also charged a fuel charge, as if they had transported my mother somewhere (they did not). I was billed following correction of the invoice and two moths later, with no addition services provided, I was charged again. In contacting the person in billing, I was talked over, never allowed to finish a sentence, and the billing person stated that I said I would pay my bill and I never did, so she charged me. Bank account transactions, vm messages, invoices, and emails don’t lie. When I called to try and get the second round of overcharges corrected, the billing person was not willing to help me and hung up on me. She never even bothered to check her invoices and payments to see if she was wrong, or if there was a mistake, she just insisted I was wrong and I never paid. I am currently disputing the charges with another worker at Golden Home, and my bank has opened a fraudulent charge investigation. Hopefully I will get the charges for services not rendered back. What is most frustrating is families go to these places because they desperately need help. All I got was work piled on top of all the work and stress I already have in taking care of my loved one. Now, I have to deal with this company dipping their mitts into my bank account and have additional work in recovering wrongly liberated funds. In addition, I may have to cancel my bank card, resulting in a domino effect of even more work and hassle.

Our family used Golden Home Services for approximately 3 years and found all aides to be absolutely wonderful.....They were the most caring people with my Mother and the family was fortunate to have had such competent caregivers! To this day I keep in touch with them.....Stan CohenAtlanta, GA.

Golden Home Services has been great! They're able to pick me up and take me to my doctor's appointments, and it's hard to find a service to do this when you're paralyzed and in a wheelchair. They are always on time and very helpful.

After using Golden Home Services for several months, I fired them for the following reasons:1. Betrayal of confidentiality (owner communicated with the director of the assisted living facility about our family without permission. 2. Unreliability of caregivers ( caregivers canceling at last minute and/or showing up late by as much as 15 min to 2 hours, sometimes requiring me to leave before their arrival so as not to miss my appointments. 3. Falsifying clock in/clock out times of caregivers because caregivers were allowed to use their own Cell phones. 4. Untrained caregivers ( did not know how to get patient from sitting to standing or how to give showers and dress)5.Flagrant disobedience by caregivers of my explicit instructions. 6. Obvious alliance with a d defense of the assisted living facility rather than the client. 7. Caregivers sent with an "attitude" or were non communicative. 8. Caregivers sent who were so overweight they could not perform necessary duties. 9. High turnover of caregivers causing me to have to spend as much as 2 hours showing someone new the routines of the day as well as causing me to miss appointments unexpectedly. On one particular day, a caregiver left my husband, a redhead with 3 recently removed skin cancers , in the bright sun midday long enough to get severely burned. See picture. The company maintains an office in the assisted living facility. The nurse recommends only this agency. Please see the reviews that are "not recommended " for the truth about this company. Avoid them at all costs. The owner told me she would knock some off the invoice if I did not post a negative review. Not a chance.

Golden Home Services has been helping my mom who lives in an Independent Living community. While she is independent, there are times through the day or night when she needs some oversight and cannot stay alone. The caregivers Golden Home Services has sent have been wonderful. They help my mother get ready for bed, help around the apartment, make sure she takes her nightly medications, and are a source of companionship for her when she is afraid to stay alone at night. Not only does my mother rest easy, but our whole family does as well. The staff in the office are very caring from the person who answers the phone to the person who handles the billing! It's very helpful and easy to work with them and give us that peace of mind.

Golden Home Services has been helping my 52 year old son for the past 4 years. They provide him his daily meds as well as monitor his insulin intake 4 times per day. Todd suffered a brain injury in April 2010 and can be difficult to deal with at times but the GHS personnel have been patient and diligent at all times.Great service.Tom
