505 Turner McCall Blvd NE, Rome“This T-Mobile location literally saved me tens of hours of headaches from endless phone calls and repeated identity verifications, and potentially even from lockouts of critically important accounts at a time when unimpeded access to such accounts is crucial—I just got discharged after ~4 weeks in the hospital, and am now attempting to organize and manage the financial fallout therefrom. I needed my lost T-Mobile SIM replaced ASAP as I had dozens of important accounts linked via 2FA to this number. The previous location I attempted to resolve this issue at (Rockmart) was unable to help—I think because that location is technically a MetroPCS location, not T-Mobile, and Metro only borrows the branding and mobile network and therefore has no authority to administrate T-Mobile accounts . If you are a T-Mobile customer, this distinction is VERY important to note, as you'll likely want/need (depending on your specific issue) to visit an official T-Mobile location—or an "authorized retailer," which from my experience, has similar privileges and empowerment to resolve customer issues like mine as official locations—and therefore THIS is where you need to go!
I want to specifically name and compliment the representative who helped me, Matt. I believe he said he is the district manager for that location. He immediately understood my issue, verified I'm the owner of the T-Mobile account, confirmed the line I needed a SIM for, and was handing me back my phone installed with a new SIM card programmed with the number in question literally less than three minutes later. The entire time he exuded kindness, but his actions and words also indicated a deep, comprehensive knowledge of cell network tech and troubleshooting, and he couldn't have been any more well-prepared to quickly resolve my issue than he already was that day.
My only minor nitpick regarding my visit to this location had nothing at all to do with Matt, but rather is because they don't stock many models of my preferred device family (Google Pixels), so even though I was willing to purchase a phone that day (A Pixel 7 Pro in one of the two largest storage capacities is specifically what I was hoping for, albeit unlikely), this location has almost no Pixel models available whatsoever, even of the newest generation—they only carry the smallest storage capacity model, unfortunately, and storage is important to me so that option was already out. So, just something to be aware of.
Overall though, this idea was spur-of-the-moment to begin with, prompted simply because I needed to replace my lost phone anyways, and also because I was so happy with the service provided by the staff here that I wanted someone here to earn the commission from a purchase I would eventually be making anyways. Sadly they just didn't have a device I wanted. But Matt was very understanding when I said I'd likely just look online to purchase my preferred phone (as a DM he actually wouldn't have made any sales commission from selling me a phone anyways, so thankfully I didn't feel awful telling him that haha.)
All in all I can't recommend this location emphatically enough. They were appropriately staffed for the amount of business they had at the mid-afternoon time I visited, such that despite there already being a customer in the store I was greeted and helped immediately. With so many businesses looking to squeeze every conceivable drop of profit out of their staff, customers, and products or services, walking into a business that for once appeared NOT to be understaffed was a breath of fresh air. I didn't personally speak much with the other employee, but both him and Matt were friendly and humorous, yet demonstrated clear knowledge and experience doing what they do—and I especially appreciated the complete lack of any condescension. Sometimes this can be an issue in certain contexts, but Matt treated me just like another normal human being. I sincerely appreciated this, ”

My husband hadn't been able to plug in his phone to charge it for over 2 year...cause the cord would fall out...the pervious ppl said we would have to pay over 300 to get it fixed even with phone insurance or buy a wireless charger which is what we did...anyways...she said naw let me look at this phone and she did a deep clean on the charger port and IT WORKS!!!!!! That was the most work I seen any verizon person do....so thank you lil short lady. LOL YOUR FREAKIN AMAZING❤️”

1016 N Broad St, Rome“I've had my new gateway internet box over 2 months and I've had lot of trouble. When connection gets knocked off lost customer service keeps me on phone many times already over a hour and they run me in circles with typing in passwords repeatedly with no success in reconnecting. Much time spent talking with customer service agents that don't seem knowledgeable and caring. Many agents from phillapines hard to understand them and many times they put me on hold and never return to phone. Between metro PCs and T mobile they both are clearly disfunctional as they pass me back and forth to each other like game of hot potato. Need a refund of payments until they get themselves ironed out and become a more positive team working with customers in a way that makes sense . This is crazy”
