Doing most of my shopping online or in large thrift establishments, I had forgotten about the benefits of an in-store, personal experience. Today I was reminded when I visited Carina's Closet. Store owner Marina was fantastic -- she was engaging, enthusiastic, fun, helpful, interesting, and interested. She was respectful of my tastes and helped me to select clothes and accessories that were in keeping with them. I never felt pressured to purchase anything, except by the lovely, eclectic items that kept imploring me to try them on. When a favorite song came on, she turned up the volume, and I felt like I was having a party with a trusted friend. When other customers came into the store, she managed to give each of us her attention, while allowing us to browse at our leisure. I can't believe that I have just discovered this gem of a store, and I thank Marina for sharing her obvious love of fashion, people, and life!
