This was me and my partners first time finding and booking a campground. Let’s digest it1) lovely office with nice merchandise and necessities you may need or have forgotten to bring2) good price point and many options of campsites depending on what style of camping you want3) very peaceful, safe and quiet. Fully forested campsites and nice covered areas and fire pit.4) it’s a bit of a drive to get to any local areas but there are some relatively close-by dollar generals.5) there is also attractions that aren’t too far like rock city which is definitely worth exploring as well as the campground having their own little hiking trails to check out.Restrooms: Wouldn’t recommend using them. Both near our campsite was covered in human feces.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed but they must be leashed. It would be better to leave your pet home unless they are well trained and won’t run off. Long leashes are a no-go too. There’s not much a dog will be able to enjoy having a 4ft leash on all dayPicnic area: Picnic area was nice, perfect for having a meal

This was our first trip out to Cloudland Canyon, and it definitely won't be our last!We were here on a cooler January afternoon, so the crowds weren't bad. But we could definitely see this place being much more busy during the warmer months. We walked the Outlook Loop, as well as part of the Waterfall Trail, down to Chreokee Falls. The Outlook loop is an easy walk that is paved throughout most of the trail. The Waterfall Trail was moderate difficulty, with the main challenge being the large number of stairs (200 to Cherokee Falls and 600 to Hemlock Falls). But the views of the falls are definitely worth it!We'd definitely like to come back and check out some of the other trails offered, or possibly even spend a weekend camping.

A Nature Lover's Paradise!I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cloudland Canyon State Park with my Family, and it exceeded all my expectations. This hidden gem nestled in the heart of North Georgia offers an unforgettable experience for outdoor enthusiasts.Scenic Beauty:The breathtaking views from the canyon rim left me in awe and the play of colors over the canyon was simply mesmerizing. The sheer beauty of the landscape is a photographer's dream.Hiking Trails:The park boasts an extensive network of well-maintained hiking trails catering to all skill levels. From easy strolls to challenging hikes, each path led to unique vantage points, waterfalls, and natural wonders. Print a Trail Map before you come to the park as the maps that are available are very basic and don't have trail markings.Wildlife Encounters:Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the diverse wildlife in the park. Keep an eye out for deer, birds, and other creatures that call Cloudland Canyon home.Camping Experience:For those looking to immerse themselves in nature overnight, the camping facilities are top-notch. Whether you prefer a traditional campsite or a more secluded backcountry experience, the options are abundant. We chose a newly renovated RV site complete with water, 30/50A power and sewer connections.Visitor Center and Staff:The park's visitor center was basic but the staff was friendly but not super informative.Clean and Well-Maintained:Cloudland Canyon State Park is clean and well-maintained, reflecting Georgia's dedication to preserving this natural wonder. The facilities, including restrooms and picnic areas, were in excellent condition.Cloudland Canyon State Park is a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers. It offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, recreational activities, and tranquility. I can't wait to return and explore more of this outdoor paradise with my Family; we will see you in the Spring!

One of the nicest state parks we've ever experienced! This is a gorgeous & recently fully renovated state park throughout. The campground looks 100% brand new & the RV/camper campground has new, full hook-ups; paved roads; and leveled, large pads throughout. The trails were also very well maintained & have gorgeous views. If you are either retired military or a disabled veteran be sure to ask about the GA State Park's discounts, as well!If we are ever traveling through this area again we will be sure to plan to stay a few more days to enjoy the trails even more!Playground: From a distance the playgrounds looked to have a nice play area for kids (didn't go up close).Restrooms: Probably the cleanest we've ever experienced in a state or national park anywhere. Many look brand new. They are also huge & very handicapped accessible.Dog-friendliness: 100% dog friendly. All dogs must be on leash on the trails & all other areas. Our pooch loved it!Picnic area: Brand-new day-use picnic pavilions & gazebos; huge day-use parking lot; and also new picnic benches in the campground sites.

Awesome. We stayed Monday through Friday and had a great time, it was cold so we will be back in the spring to explore a little more. Facilities were very nice and clean, hot showers, toilets and even laundry. Lots of trails and spacious sites. We stayed in the west rim and one of the hosts Ron was very welcoming and we had a great conversation before leaving. Spot 46 was spacious with woods behind and to the right side so you had privacy. Site was level.

We what can I say other then hands down one of the best campgrounds and day parks I have been to in a wile. Plenty of things to do and see. I personally camped and have hiked here and will keep coming back. They have beautifully kept camping areas and multiple campgrounds hosts. The hiking trails are well kept and some are easy nice walks and others are fairly intense. They have an 18 hole disc golf course that is challenging and stunning. They do have yurts and cabins that can be rented as well. If you have a free day and love to be in nature this is an amazing place to spend it.Playground: Every campground and cabin rental area has a playground attached.Restrooms: Multiple very clean restrooms. Campground restrooms and showers were spotless!Dog-friendliness: Very pet friendly must be on leash of 6ft. I camped with my dog and had no issues.Picnic area: Multiple day use picnic areas and they have group shelters that I believe are for rent.

Busy trail but great view just from the parking lot. The waterfalls are very small this time of the year since it hasn't rained much this year. Prepare for a lot of stairs!

A great area for day hiking! We didn't go to the waterfalls because they are dry right now. We do plan on going back!

I booked a site based on the photos and map on the website. When we arrived, we were placed in a "remodeled" area that was a literal parking lot. It isn't that hard to remove pictures and update a map. We felt totally swindled. After complaining, we did get a $10 refund, but it felt incredibly disingenuous. It has been like this for many months according to the workers, so this wasn't a near miss. Here is the new map, so choose your space wisely. We were not the only ones extremely disappointed. We wouldn't have booked this if we have known.

Went to see fall colors after a friend's recommendation and OMG, what a place and what an apt name, for the first time realized no camera can do justice to this place, it has unbelievably beautiful views and the colors made it more magical. This will be our goto hike , we did the west rim trail and did not feel like going back to hotLanta, a million thanks to my friend and to the GA state park rangers for maintenance of this slice of heaven

This is a really great park for hiking and enjoying scenic vistas. It's especially beautiful when fall colors are at their peak. It's close to Chattanooga and a feasible day trip from Atlanta. The west rim trail is a really good one. For the waterfall trail, it's strenuous due to all the stairs, but best to go after there's been some rainfall. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this park!Restrooms: They have restrooms at the visitor centerPicnic area: Several picnic tables

We camped in the west rim campground. The campground was nicely appointed and clean. Very level sites. Rode our ebikes all over the park. Hiked parts of the east rim trail and lookouts. The trees were beautifully dressed in fall foliage. Very pleasant time spent there.

Love this place. Overlook trails were easy. The ones for the waterfall are strenuous. Love the fall foliage and the view
