Don’t call this place if you in a bind. The guy will answer and tell you there behind 2-3 weeks and tell you to go elsewhere. Tried to tell him have a nice day, but instead I got the dial tone

I went there on August 23 & mike scedualed a apointment for Sept 11th to replace my clutch ranger, I took it there & they changed the clutch & gave it back to me saying my transmission was bad & need to be replaced because of the sloppy shifter, They didnt use new busshins when they remounted the shifter, Just a scam for more money & did a bad job bleeding my clutch & ive taken it to another shop to bleed the hydro clutch !I wont go back here again !

I was told by another place that my brakes are going to be need attention at some point and I figured it's been long enough so I took it up there they told me my brake still had 50% left. They could have easily just replace it and charge me. Glad to know somebody out there is not just trying to make a quick buck.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Took a day off of work just for them to tell me. "I will need your car all day we will get to you this afternoon." This wouldn't be an issue if I haven't already called. Then stated explicitly this is my only car & scheduled an appointment. They have no waiting area & the guy told me. "We have to have your car to work on it." I completely understand that however, I can't leave my car here all day... So, I told him I greatly appreciate your time. The guy looked at me like I was crazy then handed me my key back. If you have plenty of time & multiple vehicles then this place might be for you.

I am very pleased with their service department. They got my vehicles in and looked at very fast. The other place down road takes up to 4 days before they even look at your car.The cost was very reasonable in my opinion as well. I will definitely continue to keep taking my cars here !!

Dishonest, disrespectful, and problems with repairs...Problem #1... I first took my truck to Stapps to have them replace a bad wheel bearing and related seals. After they completed the work I kept having to bring the truck back because the seals they replaced would leak. They replaced the wheel bearing & seals a total of THREE times within a few months. And it still continued to leak. I stopped taking it back.Problem #2... They diagnosed a check engine light. They said the emissions part that was bad would cost $215 to replace.I specifically asked for assurance that this would fix the problem and they assured me that it would. The "following day" the check engine light came on again. This time they told me that another different emissions part had went bad. And this repair would be around $400. I did not let them make additional repairs.Problem #3... I called to pick up my truck and Mike said they lost my keys. I had to explain the process of how to find keys because he had given up on finding them. Later he called me back and said that he put them in someone else's truck and that truck had already left. I wasn't able to get my truck until the next day.Problem #4... I later went back to Stapps to talk to Mike in person about my emissions problem & check engine light. I discussed with him how I was assured that the $200 part they replaced was the problem. He disagreed and didn't offer me any type of credit or refund. He did however get mad and yelled at me and told me to leave.I have never ever raised my voice or been disrespectful to this man in any way.Nothing that I have written in this review is dishonest or "trying to make them look bad". I don't care how they look. This is just an honest account of my recent experiences at Stapp Automotive.

Stapp's was recommended to me by my best friend who lives in Ringgold. I drove over an hour to bring my Expedition to them ( I live in Rome.)I had a local Rome mechanic attempt to replace the spark plugs in my '06 Expedition (5.4L engine), and for those that don't know, it has a major design flaw that makes replacing the plugs a nightmare (they tend to seize and break attempting to remove). They gave me a price of $500 to $600 to replace all the plugs, but after (4) they stopped, and said that it would require new heads at $3500 (in addition to the $500 they charged me).I called Stapp's, explained to them what was going on with it, and they agreed to take on the job. They scheduled me in, and I got it up to them. They called me several days later, and told me that a plug did break off, but I had a choice. I could replace the heads at $3700, or have them attempt to drill it out at shop rate. I opted for the shop rate option, but with a budget of $1000 (beyond that, I couldn't do any more). They called me a couple of days later, and let me know that it was done, and my total bill was $503 (1/2 the budget).I couldn't be more ecstatic with their services and prices. If you are looking for an honest mechanic, look no further. They have gained a customer for life, and I'll gladly drive an hour to drop off anything I own when I need a mechanic.Service: Auto engine tuning

No good, gave me a crazy high price assuming what was wrong with the car without looking. Took it to cottons and it cost me a fraction and it wasn't even what stapp said was wrong.
