Great park with great facilities. Not on top of each other plus Pine Mountain Village is close by with most needs.Geoff/Jeff Park Ranger helped us out with air in our trailer tires, much needed due to my lack of proper packing equipment.Super nice guy and extremely helpful!

We camped here for a week with friends. Beautiful park with walking trails & an archery area. The bathroom facilities were well kept & the campsites were comfortable. It was December, so we didn't swim. The general store staff was very friendly & so was the camp host. Our kids had a blast playing nighttime flashlight hide & seek with other kids camping there and the playground was great for them too. Our site has 30/50 Amp services, water, & a fire ring. They have back in & pull through sites too. It's nice to wake up & look out over the lake in the morning.Playground: Great for littles & older kidsRestrooms: CleanDog-friendliness: We had no issues with having our dog with us.Picnic area: Each site has picnic tables & and there is a communal pavillion too.

My husband and I were looking for a quick getaway to celebrate our son's 11th birthday. We love to camp as a family and we're looking for a new spots to pitch our tent for a few days. We found FD Roosevelt State Park in pine mountain Georgia and absolutely fell in love! It's nestled at the foot of the mountain with plenty of hiking trails for all levels. Beautiful Delano lake is situated on the property and great for kayaking, paddle boating, and fishing. As far as the camping goes...First and foremost, when I'm camping I need clean bathrooms. The bathrooms were exquisite and maintained throughout the day. So if you're like me and that's important, you're good to go.We stayed in a standard campsite and it was outfitted with water, electricity, a large fire pit with a grill, picnic table, and a camping pad that was perfect whether you have a tent or a RV.There was plenty of room to hang our hammocks and stare off into the forest. There is of course wildlife but mostly squirrels around the campsites. This park is also dog friendly which was great for us because we brought along our little Chihuahua mix.My favorite part, quiet. The campsites are spaced out enough where if you're looking for a quiet serene getaway you can definitely find it here. We also took a little bit of a tour around and noticed that there are some pioneer campsites that are back in the woods. Well they need a little TLC when she first get there they look like a great option if you're on a budget.Overall, great stay! We will definitely be back soon and hopefully in the summer so that we can enjoy their large Liberty Bell pool.Key point, Callaway gardens is just around the corner. If you were interested in visiting there this is a great way to stay on a budget and get to enjoy the gardens as well!Playground: The playground was great! It had safe equipment, and a very soft landing pad for swing jumpers ?Restrooms: As I said in my review, these restrooms were amazing. Some of the best that I've ever seen at a state park!Dog-friendliness: Superdog friendly! Also, an important mention is that there seem to be plenty of responsible owners as well.Picnic area: There are picnic tables scattered throughout the entire park and at each camp sight.

Just visited this beautiful park. Stayed in dog friendly cabin 17. It was so clean and in a quiet location in the park. All of the staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. There's lots to do in the area but we were the for a few days peace and quiet. This park is definitely on our return to list. Highly recommend. Loved our time there!

Worst camping/ state park experience. We left before getting to our backcountry campsite because we were unable to find it. Minimal and terrible signage. This was the only map provided - completely unreadable (annd I’m good ant reading maps) and $6.99!!! It would have been helpful if the lady at the desk had circled where we needed to park and where our site was. Instead she asked me where I wanted to park - never been here lady how should I know! She even had a hard time reading the map. I talked to this lady later and the day before and she did not know what was going on, she also told me that she’s new so doesn’t know how to do things. The whole process just to check in took at least 15 minutes. Absurd. Nothing is user friendly here and no one is helpful.

Perfect camping site. Restrooms/showers were close by. Dog friendly. The camping lot was large and had an electrical outlet and water access. There is also a picnic table. If you want to walk the trails it is a 20 minute drive. The lake is a nice size too.

Loved this park! Clean bathrooms, great showers. Easy check in and helpful volunteers. Loved how the Campsites were spaced out and not stacked on top of each other. Great, well maintained trailed. Beautiful views. Will definitely be back!

We had no idea what an incredible place this was. The beauty was everywhere. Even the public restrooms were great. Sounds weird, but my husband and I both commented about this.Restrooms: WowDog-friendliness: So many places to walk dogs.

Another beautiful, well maintained Georgia State Park a short drive to Roosevelt's Little White House (well worth a visit) and Pine Mountain's Callaway Gardens. There are six loops of campgrounds in this park, all with well situated sites. You have the option of using the private, shower/toilet combination, or to shower in the restroom facility. Bathrooms and showers were clean and modern. We were only here for two nights so did not have the opportunity to check out the trails, but will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. Highly recommend.Restrooms: Clean, updated and options for a private shower/toilet, or to shower in the restroom facility.

Really lovely place to spend a couple of nights. Kept clean, quiet, scenic. Great inspiration for creative peoples too. Really clears the mind. Some of the most fun I've had hiking in a long time too! Thanks to all the staff for being polite, helpful, and for keeping the park safe.

Beautiful park. We love the scenery. We camped there for a weekend and our site was lake front. Full hook ups, spacious and they have a picnic table and fire ring. Is dog friendly. Have nice bathrooms and showers available and they were clean. I saw a lot of primitive campers here too and the sites for the tents are huge I really liked them. Near this park there is a lot of things to do. We visited the Liberty bell pool with the kids, which is a public pool that you need to pay to use it, but it’s really nice. We also went to the Little White House museum -spectacular history- and we saw the fishes near by this museum. We ate at the little downtown in a small Jamaican restaurant, we really enjoyed it here.Restrooms: Clean restroomsDog-friendliness: You can bring your dogs

The state park has so much to offer, hiking, camping, fishing, and swimming. Along with the Roosevelt White House. You're also right on the back door of Callaway Gardens and can pick up a quick 18 holes of golf if you want or go look at the butterflies. Swimming in the Liberty Bell pool was absolutely incredible. I stayed at the campground and saw a lot of Wildlife but it was some great sites and not a lot of noise. I plan to be back.

This is one of my favorite parks! We come here to hike the trails in particular. The Pine Mountain trail runs for 23 miles through the park. The trails are well maintained, have a lot of elevation changes, beautiful scenery and amazing views. We especially enjoy the hike to Cascade Falls. I definitely recommend this park if you love the outdoors!

Very quite and clean. Lots of shade. RV sites were ok, most were smaller and not many for larger RV's. Several trails to hike. The lake was large and made for a nice view.
