The dedication of the coaches is exemplary. They care about the general development of the kids, in addition to their development as wrestlers. As a mom of two boys heavily involved in sports, that's very important to me but, unfortunately, not always the case in youth sports.

Top-notch wrestling program with youth athletes competing at the state level every year. Positive, dedicated, experienced coaching staff trains kids to be both successful and safe on the mat. The conditioning is unparalleled and has also helped my son in other sports in the off-season. Great sport, great people!

Oconee Youth Wrestling is a great program for kids of all experience levels. The high coach to wrestler ratio allows kids to get the personal attention they need. They also like to incorporate a game (that helps with wrestling) into each practice that keeps the kids excited. My son is beginning his 4th season and loves to be a part of this team.

My kids play a number of sports and particularly like wrestling with OYW. The head coach, Fred Johnson, was an NCAA wrestler at Duke, and the other coaches have years of experience as well. The thing I like most is that these guys are particularly good with kids, and know how to communicate with them really well.

Oconee Youth Wrestling does a great job introducing kids to wrestling and teaching skills and techniques that lead to their success in the sport. The low coach to wrestler ratio means that all ages and levels receive appropriate coaching. If you're looking to get your kids into a sport that builds confidence and character, or you're looking to round out their participation in other sports like football, wrestling is a great option, and Oconee Youth Wrestling is a great club!
