Just People Inc is a wonderful and awesome organization for people with developmental disabilities. This place is also wheelchair acceptable for people who are in wheelchairs. If you know someone who is blind or visually impaired, this place would be a great place for those for Blind and or visually impaired as well. I am a totally blind person with developmental disabilities plus a hearing impairment who is a community-based client at Just People Inc. The staff there are very. Nice, and they all work together to make sure that we are happy, and provide us with the services that we all need as developmental, disabled individuals. I have met lots of new friends there and their families. This place is awesome. I recommend families who have developmental disabilities who are living in low income homes to come and enjoy us at Just People Inc. It’s an awesome place.

By chance, Traveled with over 80 members of this group on a flight to Seattle and a 7 day Alaska cruise.. as a parent of an autistic adult child, I fully support organizations like Just People. That said, the group was completely under supervised, not enough staff for the number in the group and the staff that were with them did not mai gain authority or control. Loud and disruptive to the extent that our flight home was delayed an hour waiting for take off and then group members were repeatedly told to Stay seated by airline staff during final approach and landing. The group members did not listen to airline staff and their supervisors were of no help. In fact, the staff seemed exhausted and not in control and were rude and belligerent to other passengers waiting for baggage at baggage claim while group members snatched and grabbed bags trampling over other passengers. They were disorganized and unmanageable. Basic manners and behavior were not enforced at all. They need to take more staff to support such a large group on trips like Alaska! It’s not fair to fellow passengers or travelers. Has nothing to do with a disability .. has to do with the lack of supervision and organization.

I wouldn’t donate a dime to this nonprofit because someone driving a marked car down 85 tonight was driving like a crazy person and cut extremely close to our bumper changing lanes and driving like a crazy person. Thanks for putting my family at risk tonight!
