I first met Scott through a mutual friend (Black Belt and Owner of Nucleus BJJ; Chris Jones). Through some initial conversations with him, Scott clearly demonstrated his true prowess of the strength and performance game. An accomplished power lifter and BJJ athlete in his own right, I liked him immediately. As a visiting and part time member of Nucleus BJJ, I would engage in a few of Scott's strength training sessions post rolls. However, it was back in early February of this year that I discovered just how knowledgable Scott was in the ways of bio-mechanics and exercise physiology, and more so, the investment he makes in his clients regarding their health and overall well-being.Back in February of this year, I endured a car accident that pushed some nagging back issues over the edge. MRI showed two bulging discs along with a herniated disc (L3-L5). I could barely walk without sciatic pain radiating down my left leg. Surgery was in my future but was a few months out and I needed to continue to function. I reached out to Scott and explained the above situation and he immediately responded.Scott put together a series of training modules that were instrumental in relieving my back pain. Between the belt squats, reverse-hypers, and nerve flossing PT exercises, I was able to achieve some decompression and relief! I have since been two months post-op back surgery and STILL continue to follow the program Scott constructed. I am literally rebuilding my back and my core, brick by brick, and have never felt better or stronger! Thank you Scott! If you're a serious combat athlete, power lifer, or an aging athlete like myself who's looking to remain "in the game", I highly recommend seeking out Scott and Extreme Performance Training Systems. And if you decide to make an investment in your health and partner with Scott, might as well make one in your ground game. Gratuitous plug for Mr. Jones and Nucleus BJJ.

I have been training with Scott since 2019, via multiple references. Scott takes a holistic approach and is extremely knowledgeable in customizing training to build strength efficiently and safely. After suffering neck spasms/pain and no results from PT, he fixed that issue by targeting the muscle weakness and imbalance. Recently he fixed my shoulders after tendonitis due to new sport (BJJ) and is now helping me strengthen my knees, preventatively for BJJ. I started with Scott to get in shape after pregnancy, powerlifting. Continued to train during my last pregnancy, he customized my workouts throughout to help with strength, flexibility, and ridiculous hip pain. Post pregnancy, he helped me with recovery by strengthening my hips and core. Could not recommend him higher and I am amazed at the results. Beautiful new gym with some unique equipment and great atmosphere.

Scott is an incredible coach who has changed how I exercise for the rest of my life. His programs are unique and functional and will challenge anybody at any fitness level. I was fortunate enough to train with him in preparation for many jiujitsu competitions, and he provided me with not only excellent workouts, but he has a wealth of knowledge as well. I highly recommend training with Scott.

I have been working out with Scott at EPTS for the past 18 months and have been thrilled with results. He also worked closely with me to prepare me for my first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament by tailoring the workouts to grappling specific strength and conditioning training. He also trains my twin daughters to keep them in shape for cheerleading. Highly recommend!!!!

Scott is an extremely knowledgeable trainer. He pulls information from many different sports, martial arts, rehab programs, and other materials he has studied or personally practiced to provide the best guidance for his clients. He is also always expanding his wealth of information on exercise and nutrition. He helped me tremendously in the rehab of my ACL reconstruction when Emory Sports Medicine failed me. He has continued to help maintain my general health as well. He uses a wide variety of equipment and exercises to keep things challenging and interesting. I highly recommend Scott and Extreme Performance Training Systems!

I've been training with Scott for a few years now as a jiu jitsu athlete and the number 1 thing I can say about him is that he will get your back STRONG. My back has honestly never been so strong. I love all the different muscles that are worked with him. The sled, belt squat, and reverse hyper have all done awesome things for the strength in my back and legs. If you're wanting to train for any kind of athletic sport, he will work with you and your body to ensure that it is built for the specific sport that you're in. He also did amazing things to help me when I had my PCL replaced in my knee to regain strength in my quad. He's very knowledgeable and inventive with strength training. I definitely recommend him.

Scott is the best strength training coach around the area. He is very knowledgeable about strength training, conditioning for combat sports. He's also trained other people for other sports. I can say for myself that I felt a huge improvement in my strength after only training for a couple months with him. I've been now training with him for years. If you're looking to get strong the right way EPTS is what you're looking for. A++++++

This is seriously the best gym I’ve found in Norcross. The team here are all very professional, they care about their clients and most of all, they get results! Scott is like a mad scientist with his approach to strength and conditioning. I seriously have never met someone so educated and obsessed with optimizing physical performance as him. And if you’re interested in learning Jiu-Jitsu, Chris is one of the best instructors around hands down! His classes are fun and the environment is very welcoming for everyone!

Affectionately referred to as the Professor of Power by his clients, trainer Scott Shetler, is a wealth of fitness knowledge! His credentials include National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) certified trainer, certified Westside Barbell Special Strengths Coach, and a World Kettlebell Club (WKC) certified kettlebell lifting coach. As a seasoned veteran of the fitness industry Scott has built a beautifully clean and well accessorized facility. As an experienced athlete I enjoyed seeing all the standard gym tools and was surprised Scott had some specialty equipment not found in most gyms! Having accumulated many injuries through years of martial arts training I am fortunate I met Scott. His diversity of knowledge, and experience have been vital in my rehabilitation. Whether you're a novice or professional looking to build the best possible version of yourself I've watched Scott develop fun programs customized uniquely to each individual.

Very reasonable price and much faster than estimated. I called eight other shops before Extreme and I knew on the phone this was where I should take my car. Wish everybody was like this guy.
