If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had just one representative be so rude and disrespectful that I called to complain of course, it will go nowhere so this is my review. Henry Kingston is the worst.

This company try to scam me they say I use emergency but I never use a hospital or nothing. So I call the hospital and ask them. They tell me if somebody try to charge something we need to ask for ITEM BILL and they need to send on paper because is a law the paper need to explain everything with details about the service if they don't send to you is because maybe they try to scam you. I remember few years ago I pay on the phone 500 dlls with this company too because they tell me when my daughter born like 15 years ago the insurance don't pay all. So I believe them but I remember ask for a paper bill they tell me they can't send to me other because supposed to they ready send to me one long time ago but I don't remember so I pay. Now I think they scam me that day too. I don't care bad credit I don't use it but I don't want to owe money to nobody for that I try to investigate but I see they are scam.

Sketchy debt collection agency. These thugs are being used by thugs in American Medical Response. Difficult to deal with. Any hospital using these thugs also deserves a bad review.

I was pestered with constant phone calls from these people and blocked automated calls from several numbers. This was a minor annoyance until I got a notification from Credit Karma that my score had dropped over 30 points from a debt notice. Bay Area's incredibly rude employee Grace didn't explain the debt they were collecting. Their information was so scarce that I had to hunt down the agency they were claiming to be the third party debt collector for and spoke with a representative that said there was no record of me being in their system. After getting Grace back on the line with the third party, she was rude to the representative of the party of the non-existent debt Bay Area was trying to collect. The representative of the organization promptly ended the call when no information could be obtained. He even told me once the conference call ended that he was astounded by how rude Grace was and joked that he wanted to cuss her out. These people are scum. Reporting to the BBB.

I thought this was a scam operation for the first month of non-stop phone calls. My son had been to the ER over a year ago and I paid all the bills we received in the mail so I didn't think we owed anything more. A few suggestions: (1) get as much information as you can about the originator of the bill, and (2) call originator of the bill's office directly to confirm (or not) the legitimacy of the bill. In my case, this was a long, frustrating process. The caller from Bay Area Credit Service only knew that the bill was from a physician's group for $82. The debt collector caller did not have a phone number for this physician's group nor could they supply any more information about this bill. I had to go into my health insurance online portal and find an unpaid/uncovered amount matching this bill to see the physician's name. I then called that doctor's office and spoke to their billing office. Finally! It was confirmed I indeed owed them that amount. I never received a bill or call from that physician's office about this amount. But, they confirmed that they sold the bill to a debt collection agency (Bay City).

Scam artists. They are pretending to collect on medical bills that have already been paid by the insurance provider. Do not give any information and do not verify anything!!!

A bunch of rude ignorant jerks. They were trying to collect a medical bill that I have on active processing at the moment. I told them my insurance company is working on it , but they kept insisting that I pay cash for it and have my insurance company to pay me back, which by the way specifically stated by my insurance company not to do. Kept pushing my patience until I snapped back. Never heard from them again. Not sure if they are a scam or not but definitely very unprofessional.
