You pay extra to be in a clean environment staffed by people who don't hate their job or at least know how to fake happiness

This store is always clean and staffed. The pineapples, subs, and cakes are the best.
The produce is usually awesome, too. I had some strawberries that had mold the 2nd day! It's unusual, but it happens. Also, rinse your produce. The fruit fly season is upon us!
HopTart visited today.

I've been going for years and had my first negative experience today. Everything was great at the deli, great at the seafood counter, but checkout was terrible.
My cashier Jazz never greeted me, didn't say a word until my total. That's fine on it's own, but she was shoving all of my items down to the bagger. I had everything arranged how it should be bagged, but she literally threw my produce over other items. The worst part was her shoving my deli items into my raw meats.
The bagger and every other employee I interacted with was great, but Jazz ruined my experience. I looked for customer service, but there was no one at the counter. This is pretty unacceptable when spending north of $200 on these groceries.

Stopped in 6/4) to grab some cake slices that were on sale. Same awesome Publix experience until I got to the register. Ms Irene M wasn't the greatest cashier I typically encounter on EVERY visit to a Publix. A lady checking out ahead of me seemed a lil off so I simply asked if she was ok. An older lady who looked a tad out of it, naturally I'm going to check. Same thing I'd want somebody to do for my elderly mother. Anywho, Ms Irene states she's fine & is a regular customer. Okay great. I do a split pymt (remaining EBT/cash). SHE seemed off when telling her the amt (just wanted to get rid of those last few $$). In a bit of a disappointing tone, she actually said "that's all that's on there". Paid the rest in cash, but she puts my change on the counter instead of my hand. Sure, I was closing my wallet, but there was no one behind me so why not give me my change the same way I gave you my pymt? Wow!! We all have off days & some may say this was no big deal. Having worked in various areas of Cust Serv 20+ yrs, the golden rule is treat ALL like you'd want to be treated. Especially, in today's world, the customer isn't always right, but we all still spend our pennies at certain stores simply because of how we're treated. Thx for reminding me why I prefer self check out!!!!!! Btw, I live in Bama, but stopped here anyway instead of waiting until I got back to Auburn.
