It’s taken me awhile to write this review. My precious beagle Reba died almost 7 months ago. But thanks to Dr. Shannon we got way more time with her than we would have. Background: Many years ago (7+), we’d been taking Reba to a different Newnan vet. As a Beagle, she had lots of growths (any of which might have been cancerous). However, the original vet’s extremely high estimate for surgery put it way out of reach for us. Due to overall high vet costs, we switched years ago to CAH. The original vet’s surgery estimate was so high, we didn’t even bother to ask Dr. Shannon for quite some time (thinking “even a bit lower would still be too much”). But when we finally asked, his costs were WAY lower, and obtainable. He is not only reasonably priced, but goes above & beyond. That first surgery, he went in for one growth, but he removed a few others he saw, without extra cost. I can’t explain how very impressed I was by that! Over the last few years, Dr. Shannon removed more growths (since we could actually afford it). Some of them might have been cancer. But eventually, he confirmed cancer in her lungs that was completely inoperable. Even though I desperately wanted Dr. Shannon to fix my girl, I was impressed that once he realized how extensive it was, he didn’t try to push a bunch of expensive (and likely ultimately ineffective) treatments. Instead, Dr. Shannon provided meds that helped w/pain, temporarily improved her quality of life, and gave us a precious extra 2 months to love her and start to come to terms with the situation. Understand, this was 2 months ON TOP of the several years I believe Dr. Shannon gave us….all because he is willing to operate at prices people could actually afford. He is such a blessing! I’m still grieving my Reba-girl, but when/if we get another dog, Dr. Shannon will most definitely be our vet!

They fixed my dogs health problem but did not give a definite answer to why my dog had her illness or how it happened. They did get us in same day which I am thankful for. I just wished we could have narrowed it down better. Maybe a follow up call so I can understand better?

It's Sunday and their closed. Animals get hurt every day of the week. There's no available Vets at all?!? Found a kitten stray not moving at 7 weeks and it has to die because no emergency vets on Sundays? Online computer vet for 5 bucks?! Where's the passion?

After stating we were going to another vet when charged $800+ for one exam, 2 rabies vaccines and 3 months supply of Simperica, young lady called me today to say that they thought it best we take our dogs elsewhere. Glad they got the last say; very unprofessional.

Yesterday we had to put our dog down, it was the worst day of my life, and although the vet was very nice and understanding I felt like the rest of the staff was so cold, they offered his paw print in clay and after helping get his body back in the car that’s when they let us know they were actually out of clay, and of course I understand why you have to pay for the service and maybe all vets make you pay that day but why for that service is there not an option to send the bill home? Why do I have to go pay for it like they just did my hair? Like you just ended my family members life and now I have to cough up the money in front of everyone?

My 1 year old Alaskan Malamute got hit by a car and they took him in immediately. We just moved to Newnan so he had never been there before but they didn’t hesitate to take him! Dr. Hayes is absolutely wonderful and truly loves to help animals . She went above and beyond and I can say she truly does care about the animals she sees.
